"Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition)" emphasizes the integrity of the nine-year compulsory education mathematics learning curriculum.After entering junior high school,some students are unable to integrate into the teacher’s teaching process and quickly adapt to the learning and life of junior high school,resulting in a decline in performance;In the field of "number and algebra",especially "equations and inequalities",junior high school students appear unable to solve practical problems or problems,which is significantly inferior to primary school students.Therefore,the following questions are raised:(1)What is the current situation of the connection between "equations and inequalities" in elementary and secondary schools?(2)What are the reasons for poor connectivity?(3)How to effectively connect students to adapt to junior high school mathematics learning? These are urgent issues that need to be addressed.The resolution of these issues is conducive to the professional development of teachers,the healthy growth and sustainable development of students,and also enriches the theoretical research on the connection between elementary and secondary mathematics teaching,providing a basis for teachers’ teaching and students’ learning.In response to these issues,the literature method is used to sort out existing research,based on mathematical teaching practice,analyze the "Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)" and the mathematical textbook text published by Beijing Normal University Press,and then analyze the current situation of "equations and inequalities" teaching convergence in elementary and secondary schools and the reasons for poor convergence through questionnaire surveys,teacher interviews,classroom observation,and case analysis methods,Propose suggestions and compile instructional designs for implementation.After research,it was found that most teaching connections are not very good,mainly due to the following reasons: firstly,the difficulty,depth,abstraction,and logicality of junior high school knowledge have increased,and the requirements for students have also increased;Secondly,students’ learning habits are not good,their learning methods and thinking cannot keep up,and their learning interest,motivation,and enthusiasm are insufficient;Thirdly,the attention paid by teachers to the connection between primary and secondary schools is insufficient,and the teaching connection methods are not very appropriate;The fourth is the inadequate attention paid by families,social schools to students and teaching connections.Therefore,suggestions for linking "equations and inequalities" are proposed: firstly,a reasonable selection of teaching methods for "equations and inequalities" should be made,and the course types should be connected layer by layer;Secondly,pay attention to students’ psychology and stimulate their motivation to learn mathematics;Thirdly,pay attention to the cultivation of good mathematical learning habits;Fourthly,family school cooperation should be established to create a good atmosphere for mathematics learning;Fifth,build a teaching and research community,and leverage the role of connecting mathematics teaching with renowned teacher studios.Under the "Equations and Inequalities" module,the effective connection between arithmetic and equation solutions for application problems,as well as the effective penetration of "elimination" and model ideas,may reduce the obstacles that junior high school students encounter in mathematics learning.
