A Practical Study On Social Work Involved In The Improvement Of The Social Function Of Farmers’ Cooperatives

After the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the strategy of rural revitalization,the development of rural areas in China has received more and more attention from all parties.At the 31 st meeting of the Standing Committee of the Twelfth National People’s Congress on December 27,2017,the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Farmers’ Professional Cooperatives was revised,hoping that farmers’ cooperatives will play a greater role in rural revitalization.However,we can also see that although China’s farmers’ professional cooperatives have developed rapidly since the implementation of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Farmers’ Professional Cooperatives in 2007,many problems have emerged in this process.Many farmers’ professional cooperatives blindly pursue economic interests,which deviates from the most essential attributes of cooperatives.It is difficult to protect the interests of "small farmers",and cooperatives have failed to play their due social functions.Therefore,how to intervene to promote the improvement of the social function of farmers’ cooperatives has become an urgent problem to be solved.In view of this,this study takes XW village tourism cooperatives as an example to explore the effectiveness of cooperatives in disseminating information,cultivating new farmers,providing community services,promoting grass-roots governance and other social functions after the intervention of social work;At the same time,this study reflects on the lack of social workers’ knowledge structure,farmers’ one-sided understanding of cooperatives,nonstandard use of cooperatives’ public welfare funds,cooperatives have not yet entered the formal community governance system and other issues encountered by social work in the process of participating in the improvement of farmers’ cooperatives’ social functions,and puts forward some targeted countermeasures and suggestions on this basis,In order to better promote social work to achieve more significant results in the promotion of social functions of farmers’ cooperatives,and play a greater role in rural revitalization.
