Abstract/Summary:
Children’s programming education is one of the effective channels for cultivating and developing students’ computational thinking.At the same time,with the implementation of the after-school delayed service policy in primary and secondary schools,club classes have become their main course form,and most club activities are usually carried out in the form of collaborative learning,but the programming club in this study is composed of students across grades For mixed-age learning groups,students have great differences in learning starting points,learning acceptability,learning methods,etc.,which makes traditional collaborative learning activities ineffective.Therefore,how to design collaborative learning activities in programming clubs to promote students at different levels in the club.All can be developed to varying degrees and become a top priority.Based on this,this research relies on the primary school programming community,and under the guidance of relevant theoretical foundations and existing models,constructs the collaborative learning activity structure of the programming community,designs the content of collaborative learning activities,and verifies the effectiveness of the activity design through action research,so as to summarize the primary school Rules and strategies for collaborative learning activities in programming communities.This study firstly investigates the related literature of student associations,programming education,and collaborative learning activities to understand the research status of cooperative learning activities in associations,and analyzes many problems existing in the teaching practice of programming associations,so as to further clarify the research problems.Then focus on the research situation,start from the relevant theoretical basis,refine the design principles of collaborative learning activity structure,refer to the existing learning activity model,and construct primary school-oriented programming from four levels: collaborative goal,hierarchical teaching,collaborative activity process and computational thinking training.The structure of collaborative learning activities in the community.Then,according to the constructed activity model and the elements of collaborative learning activities,the basic content of collaborative learning activities in programming communities is designed in turn.More importantly,in order to meet the differentiated teaching of mixed-age learning groups,follow the "target-task-evaluation" system.Layered instructional design.Finally,taking a primary school programming club in Chongqing as the research object,according to the idea of stratified teaching,the students were divided into two groups of high and low grades,and three rounds of action research were carried out.and qualitative research data to examine the changes in computational thinking and collaboration skills of students in the upper and lower grade groups,and summarize the rules of collaborative learning activities in primary school programming clubs from the three aspects of activity effectiveness,activity process and activity strategy according to the practical results,and finally form More mature programming community collaborative learning activity design.The study found that the design of collaborative learning activities for elementary school programming clubs can help students develop computational thinking and collaborative skills.In terms of computational thinking,the students in the lower grade group increased significantly in the second round of activities,and the senior group in the third round of activities;in terms of collaboration skills,both the high and low groups improved significantly in the second round of activities.Correspondingly,through teaching practice,students’ computational thinking and collaborative skills have gone through three development stages of "germination-growth-extension".Specific and effective strategies for collaborative learning activities in programming communities.
