Since the 1980 s,Private colleges in China have led to a mushroom growth.Private colleges and universities,because of their significance in higher education system,which assume more enhanced section in the cultivation of higher skilled personnel.The methods used to assess teachers’ performance are slowly being used pay attention to.For private higher vocational colleges,Performance appraisal plays a positive role in college enrollment and teaching,and plays a certain role in the integration and distribution of college funds.However,there are still lots of questions in the performance appraisal of private colleges.The urgent problem which needs to be figured out is how to further mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of teachers through fair performance appraisal and give full play to the core role of teachers in higher education.This thesis is intended for the study of S Higher Vocational College.Using the questionnaires to unfold profound analysis of the current performance appraisal.This paper finds out its problems in the appraisal content,the suitability of strategic objectives,and the setting of indicators,and then analyzes its problems.And on that basis,this article elaborates on the feasibility and inevitability of using balanced scorecards and planning core performance indicators in higher vocational colleges,combining previous relevant research content and the actual needs of performance appraisal of S higher vocational colleges,the teacher performance evaluation system of S vocational College build from balanced scorecard is established.In the next procedure,index weight is calculated through the analytic hierarchy process and check for consistency effectively,which confirms the rationality of the construction.End of the article,we hope the safeguard issues that need be paid attention in the implementation of the scorecard performance appraisal of S Higher Vocational College.It is hoped that the teacher performance appraisal method can really stimulate the improvement of teacher performance and strengthen the college.The overall core competitiveness also provides experience and reference for the same type of colleges and universities.
