| With the development of knowledge economy and information intelligence,and in the context of the deepening of the new round of basic education curriculum reform,the demand for talents in China is increasingly focused on whether they have the ability of comprehensive practice and interdisciplinary literacy.With its unique characteristics and values,"synthesis and practice" in primary school mathematics plays a key role in cultivating students’ core literacy.It contribute to students’ comprehensive quality and practical ability,and help them learn about the connection of mathematics,other subjects and life.Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards:Mathematics(2022Edition)proposes that the "integration and practice" of elementary school mathematics should be based on thematic learning,of which is interdisciplinary thematic learning.Thematic learning aims to cultivate innovative talents with interdisciplinary literacy and integrated practical skills,and promote students’ sense of problems,application and innovation.However,there are some problems in the teaching of "integration and practice" in elementary school mathematics,such as unclear teaching objectives,lack of interdisciplinary teaching content,few practical activities,the assessment which only focuses on knowledge learning.This will lead to the failure of teaching activities in this area to effectively implement the concepts of the 2022 edition of curriculum standards.Therefore,there are some prominent problems.For example,how to adapt to the advocacy of interdisciplinary theme teaching,how to use a certain theme as a carrier and integrate the knowledge and methods of multiple disciplines to solve real-life problems.Moreover,the problem-solving activities must be interdisciplinary in nature,and carry out a series of teaching activities to achieve certain teaching objectives.In this paper,the following questions will be studied: First,what are the connotation,characteristics,value and feasibility of the interdisciplinary theme teaching design of "synthesis and practice" in elementary school mathematics? Second,what is the current situation and problems of the interdisciplinary theme teaching design of "synthesis and practice" in elementary school mathematics? Thirdly,can we optimize the process of designing interdisciplinary themes in elementary school mathematics based on the current situation and problems? Fourth,how to create and implement a case study of interdisciplinary theme-based teaching design for mathematics in elementary school?First of all,by compiling relevant literature,this study extracted the connotation and characteristics of the interdisciplinary theme-based teaching design of "synthesis and practice" in elementary school mathematics.Its features include emphasizing the authenticity of context creation,highlighting interdisciplinary teaching contents,focusing on designing practical activities,centering on the theme,and encouraging students’ independent inquiry.And this paper also analyzed the value and feasibility of "integrated and practical" interdisciplinary theme teaching in elementary school mathematics.Secondly,according to interviewing 10 front-line primary mathematics teachers,aims to understand the current situation of interdisciplinary theme-based teaching design in primary mathematics and analyze the problems in it.Through the survey,we found that there are a series of problems in the design of interdisciplinary theme teaching in elementary school mathematics "synthesis and practice",such as the narrow range of interdisciplinary themes,lack of interdisciplinarity in the design of teaching objectives,inadequate pre-design analysis,too much emphasis on subject-oriented teaching content design,lack of realistic conditions and teachers for teaching implementation,and lack of scientific and effective teaching evaluation.Thirdly,in order to better reflect the value and feasibility of the interdisciplinary theme teaching design of "synthesis and practice" in elementary school mathematics,and solve the current problems of teaching design in this field,the "synthesis and practice" interdisciplinary theme teaching design in elementary school mathematics should follow the principle of comprehensiveness and practicalness.Based on the authoritative interdisciplinary theme teaching design process,a specific process of interdisciplinary theme teaching design for elementary mathematics "synthesis and practice" is constructed.The process includes six steps: "Identification of the theme--Teaching analysis--Selection and organization of teaching contents--Design of teaching objectives--The exploration of the theme--Design of evaluation".Finally,based on the process constructed in the previous section,we designed a case study of "The Story of Weights and Measures",an interdisciplinary theme teaching in elementary school mathematics,and applied it to the fourth grade students of X elementary school.After the implementation,we analyzed the teaching effectiveness based on questionnaires and interviews.Based on the above research,this paper gives suggestions for the implementation of interdisciplinary theme teaching in elementary school mathematics "synthesis and practice" at both teachers and students levels.At the teachers level,there are several aspects: focus on the connection of the themes;strengthen communication with teachers of other subjects,and precise interdisciplinary teaching content;focus on group work and collaboration;and adjust the teaching plan according to the actual situation.At the student level,the main suggertions are to actively participate in the exploration of the themes and to learn self-assessment. |
