Feasibility Study On Developing Ultimate Frisbee In Colleges And Universities In Hainan Province

The Ultimate Frisbee sport was emerged in the 1970 s,with Frisbee transmission as its competitive content.It is a competitive sport that passes Frisbees between teammates on the field to the winning zone,where teammates successfully catch Frisbees to score points.It belongs to a non-contact,self judging team sport.in 2015,the International Olympic Committee officially recognized the Ultimate Frisbee sport.Currently,the World Flying Disc Federation(WFDF)is fully promoting the sport to enter the International Olympic Games.As an intellectual sport with strong athletic mechanics characteristics and competitive strategies and tactics,it not only requires athletes to have good physical fitness,high athletic skills,and strong wills,but also through competition and training,it can exercise people’s willpower,forge a straight and honest character,and mold a social quality of unity and friendliness.This article takes college students in Hainan Province as the research object,using the methods of literature review,questionnaire survey,and field observation as the main research methods.Starting from the universities that currently have a relatively good performance in China and Hainan Province,it conducts an in-depth analysis of the necessary and feasible factors for the development of Ultimate Frisbee in various universities in Hainan Province,with the analysis of the referential factors that have been well developed in Hainan Normal University as the starting point,Find out the restrictive factors that limit the development of Frisbee sports in other colleges and universities in Hainan Province,and propose feasible countermeasures for colleges and universities in Hainan Province to develop Ultimate Frisbee sports.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:1.Ultimate Frisbee is an intermittent aerobic sport that combines the characteristics of basketball,football,rugby,and other sports.It is a sport that integrates fitness,leisure,entertainment,and education.It can not only improve people’s physical and psychological qualities,but also cultivate their social qualities.2.The promotion of Ultimate Frisbee in colleges and universities in Hainan Province is necessary to further implement the reform of physical education in colleges and universities,promote the development of competitive sports,school sports,and social sports with high quality,create a cultural atmosphere for campus sports,and promote the implementation of the "Healthy Hainan" strategy.Therefore,its development is of great necessity.3.Taking Hainan Normal University,which has a good development situation of Ultimate frisbee sports,as an example,a case study was conducted at four levels: curriculum,community,college students,and physical education teachers.It is believed that the establishment of a trinity operation mode integrating curriculum teaching,interest community,and sports competition is a necessary condition for the effective development of Ultimate frisbee sports in Hainan Normal University.4.The unique climate and geographical characteristics of Hainan,a good mass base,the sports characteristics of Ultimate Frisbee itself,the participation attitude of college students towards Ultimate Frisbee sports,and the willingness of physical education teachers to engage in Ultimate Frisbee teaching indicate that the development of Ultimate Frisbee in various universities in Hainan Province has a broad prospect for development.
