| Attaching great importance to the cultivation of reserve talents is an important factor for the enduring prosperity and sustainable development of table tennis in China.As the first athlete in Hainan to enter the national table tennis team,Lin Shidong has divided his development process of skills and tactics from 2019 to 2022 into three stages,namely,the provincial team period,the national second team period,and the national first team training period.In order to help him steadily improve his skills and tactics during the critical period of rising,the method of documentary data,expert interviews,video observation,three-stage indicator evaluation,and mathematical statistics are used,A longitudinal study was conducted on his technical and tactical performance in three periods of domestic and international competitions.The purpose of this study is to provide theoretical basis for Lin Shidong to form his current technical and tactical characteristics and change laws,and provide reference for Lin Shidong’s future technical and tactical improvement direction based on quantitative research.Through induction and analysis,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)From the perspective of service and snatch techniques,the usage rate of Lin Shidong’s forehand left spin service gradually decreases,while the usage rate of forehand hook service and turn not turn service gradually increases.On the basis of maintaining a high scoring rate of forehand left spin service and turn not turn service,the threat of forehand reverse spin service and forehand hook service is strengthened,and more service options are available;The hitting points of the serve in the three periods are mainly short balls,with more variations in the hitting points and alternating overall rhythm;The third board mainly relies on backhand pulling to complete the attack,and the scoring rate of backhand pulling shows a slow upward trend,with more diverse choices of attack routes.(2)From the perspective of attacking tactics,Lin Shidong’s main attacking tactics have undergone significant changes,but they all use backhand pulling to construct attacking tactics;In terms of the connection between the serve landing point and the third board technique,Lin Shidong’s scoring rate of connecting the third board technique after serving a short ball has decreased;The scoring rate of connecting the third board technique gradually increases after serving a long ball;The scoring rate of connecting the third board technique after serving the middle half of the billiards ball shows a significant increase and then a slow decrease trend.(3)From the perspective of receiving and grabbing techniques,Lin Shidong’s three periods of receiving and serving mainly focused on control techniques,with a trend of first increasing and then decreasing scoring rates.The proportion of offensive techniques gradually increased,and his ability to handle the ball on stage gradually strengthened;The main landing point for receiving and serving the ball is the short ball in the middle,with scoring rates of 50.7%,56.7%,and 52.2% in the three periods,respectively;The scoring rate of the fourth board shows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing,mainly relying on backhand and forehand pulling to complete the attack.Although the scoring rate of backhand pulling is gradually increasing,it is still at a relatively low level;The scoring rate of forehand dribbling has significantly decreased during the training period of the national first team,indicating that forehand dribbling is a weak technique.(4)From the perspective of receiving and grabbing tactics,the utilization rate of Lin Shidong’s receiving and serving control and the fourth board technique connection shows an upward trend,but the scoring rate shows a significant downward trend,showing a significant decline after entering the national team;The utilization rate of the connection between receiving serve and attacking and the fourth board technique shows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing,while the scoring rate shows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing.Lin Shidong’s connection with the fourth board technique after receiving the serve and attacking is not smooth enough,and the overall scoring rate is not high;Although the scoring rate of the main tactical combinations has improved compared to the period of the national second team,it is still at a relatively poor level.(5)From the perspective of the stalemate technique,backhand pulling is the most commonly used technique by Lin Shidong during the stalemate period,with a usage rate showing a trend of first increasing and then decreasing,and a scoring rate showing an upward trend;The line of Lin Shidong’s stalemate section is flexible,with more use of the three backhand lines.The scoring rate of the backhand line shows an upward trend,and the ability of the backhand to change the line is strengthened,but the ability of the forehand to change the line is relatively weak.(6)From the perspective of the tactics in the stalemate stage,the scoring rate of the last two board techniques in Lin Shidong’s stalemate stage showed a trend of first decreasing and then increasing,with a focus on strengthening the scoring rate of the stalemate stage tactics,especially the scoring rate of the commonly used technique combination of backhand continuous pulling the ball,which has greatly improved compared to the previous two periods.However,the tactical system relies too much on the backhand and lacks protection for the forehand position;In terms of line connection,Lin Shidong has gradually increased the utilization rate of connecting straight lines,focusing on mobilizing the other party through the line,which is one of the reasons for the overall score increase of Lin Shidong’s stalemate section.(7)Overall,Lin Shidong’s technical and tactical style is concentrated in the competition in the first four boards(starting and receiving sections),excelling in ending the game in the first four boards,and using the stalemate section less.Overall,"leveraging strengths and avoiding weaknesses,leveraging strengths,and making up for weaknesses" is the overall direction of Lin Shidong’s technical and tactical development,manifested in strengthening the scoring and utilization rates of the advantageous links,increasing the scoring rates of the disadvantaged links,and reducing their utilization rates,in order to avoid exposing the weaknesses of the weak holding ability in the
