Dialectical thinking is a fundamental way of thinking in General Secretary Xi Jinping’s governance,and it is also a fundamental way of thinking in his understanding of education,which provides an important entry point for us to study Xi Jinping’s important discourse on education.This study starts from the perspective of dialectical thinking in Xi Jinping’s important discourses on education,and through the use of literature analysis and historical analysis,focuses on elucidating the theoretical sources,concrete manifestations,theoretical characteristics and practical values of dialectical thinking in his important discourses on education.The attempt to reveal the scientific way of thinking in Xi Jinping’s important discourse on education is significant for us to continuously promote the development of socialist education with Chinese characteristics and advance the process of building an educational power.First,this study clarifies the core meaning of Marxist dialectical thinking and the direct theoretical sources of dialectical thinking of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on education.This study explores the core meaning of Marxist dialectical thinking,clarifies that dialectical thinking is the centralized embodiment of materialistic dialectics in epistemology,and clarifies three basic views,namely,the view of unity of opposites,the view that the world is universally connected and eternally developing,and the view of negation of negation.Second,this study composes and summarizes the dialectical thinking of the Communist Party of China in its historical development,especially in the process of education development,and explores the theoretical support it provides for the formation of dialectical thinking in Xi Jinping’s important discourse on education.Second,this study reveals the dialectical thinking embodied in Xi Jinping’s important discourse on education in terms of specific contents.The study explores the dialectical thinking in Xi Jinping’s important discourse on education from the perspective of the nature and value of education,explaining that education is a cause that unifies class and society,a cause that unifies merit in the present and benefit in a thousand years,and a great cause that unifies serving national rejuvenation and promoting common human development;focusing on the goals and tasks of education,it clarifies that talent cultivation is a dialectical unity of nurturing people and nurturing talent,insists on the coordination of political education and comprehensive quality education,and insists on Chinese characteristics rooted in the land of China and education of world standard with a global perspective;reflects the dialectical unity of continuity of talent cultivation and stage of education development,promoting continuity of talent cultivation in bridging different education stages and cultivating excellent talents in stage development of education;highlights the dialectical unity of beings in both virtue and talent.Finally,this study clarifies the value implications of dialectical thinking in Xi Jinping’s important discourse on education.General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important provides an overall and systematic scientific thinking for the current development of education in China,a prerequisite for the application of other thinking in the field of education,and a basic path for solving problems in the field of education in China in the new era,which is of great value for improving the competence of building a strong education country.
