Comparative Study On Offensive And Defensive Ability Of Top Eight CBA Regular Game Teams In 2021-2022

Although CBA is the most competitive professional basketball league in China,there is still a certain gap compared to world-class basketball leagues.In order to break through the difficulties of CBA in the development of competitive level and promote the significant development of China’s professional basketball league.Therefore,conducting a comparative study on the offensive and defensive abilities of CBA teams is beneficial for promoting the improvement of their comprehensive strength in attack and defense,and also provides reference for CBA league teams in future training,talent selection,competitions,and other aspects.This article uses the Rank Sum Ratio Comprehensive Evaluation(RSR)method to divide the top eight CBA teams in the 2021-2022 regular season into three levels:A,B,and C.With the assistance of comparative analysis,a systematic,comprehensive,and comprehensive study was conducted on the offensive and defensive abilities of the three levels of teams,and the following conclusions were drawn:1.In terms of offensive ability: The RSR values of Guangsha and Liaoning teams’ offensive ability are 0.75 and 0.65,belonging to the A-level team;Shenzhen,Beijing,and Zhejiang are rated B;Shanghai,Guangdong,and Guangzhou are classified as C-level.A-level teams have significantly better scores,effective shooting percentage,and offensive rebounding rate per 100 rounds than B-level and C-level teams,with stronger ability to seize opportunities,and significant advantages in three-point shooting and offensive rebounding.B.C-level teams have fewer offensive rounds,fewer rotation players,weaker ability to control rebounds,and poor ability to accumulate offensive opportunities.2.In terms of defensive ability: The RSR values of Liaoning,Beijing,and Zhejiang teams’ defensive ability are 0.83,0.72,and 0.65,belonging to the A-level team;Guangsha,Guangdong,and Shanghai are rated B;Shenzhen and Guangzhou are classified as C-level.A-level teams are significantly better than C-level teams in terms of losing points per 100 rounds,limiting their opponents’ effective hit rate,and causing their opponents to make mistakes.Their defensive strategies are more targeted,and aggressive forces can cause their opponents to make more mistakes,effectively limiting their chances of hitting two or three pointers.B.C-level teams cannot effectively limit the number of offensive rounds of their opponents,as they lose too many points,have fewer rebounds,and make too many mistakes.3.In terms of comprehensive offensive and defensive abilities: The RSR values of the offensive and defensive abilities of Liaoning,Guangsha,and Shanghai teams are 0.86,0.71,and 0.61,belonging to the A-level team;Zhejiang,Shenzhen,and Guangdong are rated B;Beijing and Guangzhou are classified as C-level.A level team has a balanced offensive and defensive ability.B.C-level teams exhibit an imbalance in offense and defense,with defense significantly inferior to offense.The disadvantage lies in controlling the success rate of opponents’ shots and causing them to make mistakes.Countermeasures and suggestions:1.Strengthening specialized physical fitness training is of decisive significance for unleashing skills.C-level teams need to increase their scoring points through recruitment,training,and other means,accelerate the pace of the game to drive an increase in the number of offensive rounds,increase the number of hits from three pointers,and cultivate players who can adapt to the fast pace of attack and defense.2.Strengthen personal defensive ability to drive the improvement of the team’s defensive quality.Low level teams should adopt more defensive strategies with strong pressure,such as marking,to improve the speed of offensive and defensive transitions,pay attention to the training of rebound fighting,and reduce mistakes.3.Establish the concept of "both offense and defense" to enrich the team’s offensive and defensive tactical system.
