The flower industry is not only a beautiful public service, but also an emerging sunrise industry. As we enter a new era,the historic call to build a beautiful China has brought unprecedented strategic opportunities for the development of the flower industry. As the largest flower market in Asia,Dounan Flower Market is undoubtedly the most indispensable part of the flower industry.Started in the 1980s,Dounan has developed into the largest fresh-cut flower market in Asia in just over 20 years, thanks to the collaboration and expansion of the market’s main florists. The rapid development of the market has brought about changes in social structure and reconstructed social networks, which in turn have influenced the construction of florists’ relationship networks. This study takes the grassroots florists in the Dounan flower market as the target population, and uses field research to explore the composition of the florists’ circles and action strategies in their business activities by using social network theory as an analytical perspective and localized concepts such as relationships and human feelings as research tools. The study found that Dounan’s florists mainly operate in a family-oriented and chain-oriented manner, and the resulting circle consists of kinship networks,geo-networks,and business networks.During the initial period of the florists, the kinship network and the geo-network played a great role, while the karma network became the core network of the circle after the florists formed a stable trading pattern.Florists usually adopt certain strategies to maintain relationships with social networks in their circles, and adopt different behavioral strategies based on different levels of trust. In the daily business activities, the circle of florists often operates based on the mutual construction of the principle of human kindness and the principle of market, embedding the principle of human kindness into the market to a limited extent, thus achieving the survival and benefit of the professional market.
