A rule is a code of conduct or principle that people abide by and is an indispensable part of social life.Competition rules and competition promote and restrict each other.Looking back at the development history of table tennis,the rules of competition are constantly changing.Each change is for the betterment of table tennis in the world.This study uses the method of literature,expert interview,logical analysis and video observation.Based on Marxist materialist dialectics,through tracing the origin of sports competition rules and sorting out the evolution of table tennis competition rules,this paper summarizes the rules followed by the changes of table tennis competition rules and the direction they stick to,and analyzes the constraints and breakthroughs of table tennis.To guide the cultivation of reserve talents with materialist dialectics,and provide reference for the sustainable development of table tennis.The results are as follows:(1)The essence of competition rules is designed to serve special groups,in order to ensure the smooth progress of sports competition and maintain the order and fairness in the process of sports competition.It is mainly characterized by the unity of subjectivity and objectivity,principle and flexibility,etc.The formulation of competition rules should follow the principles of fairness,stability and timeliness,conducive to the better development of the project and adapting to the market demand.(2)The rules of table tennis competition shall follow the principles of fairness,justice and openness.After four stages of germination,preliminary formation,rapid development and gradual improvement,the rule makers adopted a series of measures,such as changing the size of the ball,implementing the open serve,etc.,to ensure the comprehensiveness and strictness of the foul penalty,the objectivity and rationality of the competition results,and at the same time to adhere to the high-quality round confrontation in the process of the game.The evolution of table tennis rules is mainly driven by internal and external factors,the common purpose of which is to promote the market development of table tennis events and promote the spread of table tennis.(3)The changes of table tennis competition rules are mainly reflected in the changes of equipment,service rules,competition system and points system.In order to actively promote table tennis,the rules are changed around how to ensure high-quality competition in the rounds,promote the innovation of techniques and tactics,and constantly break through the constraints,so as to give the sport a long life.(4)In the process of reserve talent cultivation,the selection and training should follow the influence of rule changes on the development of table tennis.In the process of reserve personnel training,adhere to the principle of the unity of quantitative and qualitative change,grasp the principle of "degree",fully grasp the principle of the unity of understanding and practice,the unity of the principle of progress and twists,pay attention to methodology,carry out scientific and efficient training.
