By 2050,the strategic goal of China’s sports power is to fully build a socialist modern sports power.The people’s physical literacy and health level,comprehensive sports strength,and international influence rank among the forefront of the world,and sports have become a landmark cause of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Basketball has a broad mass base in China,is an influential sport,and is also an important component of China’s sports industry.The CBA league is the professional basketball league with the highest competitive level in China.Players demonstrate their competitive ability through the league.According to previous research results,the most important position in basketball is the center position.The center position player is the core of a team’s offensive and defensive tactics,and is also an important hub for the transformation of the team’s technical and tactical use at both ends of offense and defense.Therefore,the center player is designated as a special talent in modern basketball.Center players are always in high intensity competition because of their closest heart zone to the basket on the court.When attacking,center players mostly attack from the nearest place to the basket,which gives them a great advantage in scoring on the inside and fighting for rebounds in the front court.In defense,the center player is at the center of the overall defensive formation,a person who looks at the overall situation,and is the core of defense.Most of the time,the center player is an important initiator of offensive and defensive conversion,and the timing of offensive and defensive conversion directly determines the efficiency of the fast break.The strength level of the center forward and the final performance of both offensive and defensive ends determine the combat effectiveness and strategic and tactical level of a team,which is also the guarantee for a strong team to win the championship.This article analyzes the core competitive abilities of CBA’s domestic and foreign center players through the methods of literature,questionnaire,expert interviews,video analysis,mathematical statistics,and logical analysis,summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of domestic and foreign center players,and provides solutions for the shortcomings,providing reference and assistance for future training and teaching of basketball center players.一、The research results are as follows:1.The main reasons for the huge gap in basic skills between domestic and foreign centers in CBA are the premature role positioning of domestic centers,the excessive emphasis on shooting training,and the encouragement of coaches.The main reason for the large gap in rebounding between domestic CBA centers and foreign center players is the lack of enthusiasm,poor agility,and unreasonable use of rebounding techniques.2.The poor basic skills of CBA’s domestic center lead to poor ball control ability,which is the main reason for the single offensive means of CBA’s domestic center compared to foreign center players.The tall stature and heavy weight of Gao Nei’s center forward are the reasons for the weak mobility of domestic and foreign center forwards in CBA,as their physical fitness training does not reach the level of foreign center forwards.3.Compared to the past,the tactical design of each CBA team is rich,and the difference in tactical execution between domestic and foreign center forwards in CBA is weak;The improvement of hardware facilities and the importance attached by coaches have resulted in a weak gap in the competitive ability between domestic and foreign CBA centers.4.Watching videos and comparing data,it can be seen that CBA’s domestic center has a better shooting percentage in internal attacks compared to foreign centers.This is mainly due to the fact that most of CBA’s domestic center’s shots are unmanned defense and shots taken from the basket,and the number of shots taken is relatively small.二、Research recommendations1.CBA coaches should attach importance to the basic basketball skills and rebounding training of the center forward.2.CBA coaches need to pay attention to the handling of technical and tactical details,improve the quality and scientificity of training.3.CBA domestic center requires differentiated training compared to players from other positions.4.CBA coaches should pay attention to the improvement of the ability of combining movement and tactics of center players.5.Coaches and center forward players attach great importance to enhancing basketball awareness and learning basketball theory.Domestic centers attach great importance to the effectiveness of tactical execution and combine attack and defense.
