The “red gene” is a unique spiritual and cultural phenomenon formed during the Communist Party of China’s practical process of leading the Chinese people in revolution,construction,reform and development.It contains rich cultural connotations and educational values.Nowadays,the infiltration of all kinds of undesirable trend of thought in society and wrong values seriously affects contemporary youth’s understanding of the right values and conception of history.Inheriting the fine traditions and the “red gene” of the Communist Party of China is related to the important task of training the leadership of the CPC and the successors to the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics,as well as to the great task of national rejuvenation.In today’s world of diversified development of social values,it is of great significance to conduct an in-depth study on the current situation of red culture education and the “red gene” inheritance among young people,as well as on how to pass on the spiritual pedigree of Chinese Communists to promote better inheritance of “red gene” of young people.This research focuses on the current situation of adolescent’s transmission of “red gene”,adopts the documentation research and survey research,selects representative red education bases,venues and schools to take the filed investigation on the status of “red gene”transmission among young people.The survey shows that the task of “red gene” transmission among youths has achieved remarkable results in the past period that the perceptions of “red gene” are largely accurate and the value of “red gene” inheritance has been widely recognized by adolescents.However,there are still three problems: imperfection of software and hardware facilities in red venues;single mode of publicity of red culture;and insufficient form of red education activities in schools.The reasons lie in the imperfections of sound system for the transmission of “red gene”;insufficient development and utilization of red educational resources;lack of innovation in the way of red culture communication;and the lack of educational synergy.The study suggests that the methodological options for the transmission of “red gene” in adolescents should be fully improved from four aspects,including superstructure,school education,social support and mass media.At the top level,the national system of “red gene”transmission should be improved by institutionalizing the organizational system,material guarantee,red culture dissemination and red resources development.In terms of school education,the education system of “red gene” inheritance should be constructed by strengthening the systematization of “red gene” education,promoting the normalization of red education practice activities,and paying attention to home-school cooperation.At the social level,the multi-party collaborative pathway for the transmission of the “red gene”should be built by creating a good atmosphere,strengthening the construction of red education practice bases,and playing an active role in “red study camps”;In the mass media,establishing the main position of “red gene” diffusion by expanding the main body,optimizing the content and innovating the form of red culture communication.
