Living alone is a worldwide social transformation.With the expansion of cities,the continuous progress of society and the rapid development of science and technology,many developed economies in the world have entered the era of "living alone".In China,the group of young people living alone is also growing in scale,and is gradually developing into an important part of Chinese youth.Youth is an important force in the social and economic development of a country.Therefore,the harmonious development of the body and mind of this group has always been an important topic.Thanks to the rapid development of information technology,especially social media and platforms,young people living alone who are separated from traditional relationship networks can get acquainted with each other through Internet,establish their own online relationship network,and re-embed themselves in certain social structures and relationships.In specific practice,how do young people living alone use the online community represented by Douban,how do they use the online community to obtain the social support they need,how will the use of online community affect their perception of the online community,and how will it affect the mental state of the group? In order to answer these questions,this study conducted a questionnaire survey on the members of Douban group "50 Survival Challenges for Contemporary Solo Residents",and investigated their community participation,access to online social support,construction of their sense of virtual community and the impact of these factors on their subjective well-being.The results show that through active online community participation,young people living alone can effectively obtain information support,emotional support and support from friends,and the higher the participation,the more support they get.Similarly,active participation in online community can influence the perception of it.The higher the participation,the more likely they are to see themselves as part of the community.Online community participation can directly and positively affect the subjective well-being of young people living alone,and can also influence their subjective well-being through the chain intermediary path of online social support and sense of virtual community.
