In recent years,more and more learners are attracted to online learning with the development of large-scale online open courses.However,"low participation" of online learners has become a serious challenge for online education.How to promote the participation of online learners is the key to improving the quality of online education.Online learning participation includes three dimensions: behavioural participation,cognitive participation and emotional participation.Existing studies mainly focused on behavioral and cognitive participation,but there are few studies on the online-learning emotional participation,and even fewer have studied the online learning participation of ethnic college students.As a matter of fact,students' positive emotional participation is beneficial to their knowledge construction.Therefore,the purpose of this paper is to study the online-learning emotional participation of ethnic college students,which is important to optimize their online learning environment and enhance their online learning effect.This paper tried to build the online-learning emotional participation theory model,which included four dimensions: learning interest,self-efficacy,self-worth and the sense of belonging.Based on the survey of 723 students from XX Minzu University in China,we analyzed the structural and quantitative relationships among the four dimensions of online-learning emotional participation of ethnic and Han college students respectively.The results show that there are significant differences in the online-learning emotional participation between ethnic and Han college students,especially their sense of belonging.Furthermore,based on the Constructivism Learning Theory,the Personalized Learning Theory,the Maslow's Hierarchy of needs Theory and the Social Interdependence Theory,from the perspective of enhance ethnic learners' sense of belonging,we designed the course teaching mode of online learning,we developed to the online learning community system of enhance ethnic learners' sense of belonging.This system has five modules that including the login module,the course learning module,the learning forum module,the recommendation module and the personal management module.Finally,we had tested for function and performance of this system.We hope to provide practical guidance for ethnic learners to enhance their sense of belonging,thus enhance their emotional participation in the online learning community.
