| In recent years,the issue of elderly care brought about by the aging population has become increasingly serious,and the elderly living alone have gradually received attention,especially the issue of loneliness among elderly living alone.Most elderly people living alone face problems such as a shift in social roles,home safety,reduced social circle,and a lack of emotional support when their children are not around.Long term living alone,poor physical condition,and poor living environment make it difficult for them to obtain emotional support from their families and society,and the problem of loneliness gradually becomes apparent.The author took advantage of the opportunity to intern at a social work service center in Dadukou District,Chongqing,and participated in the institution’s mutual assistance elderly care service project in Y community.Y Community belongs to the remote and old urban area of Chongqing.Most young people in the jurisdiction choose to work and live in the main urban area with better conditions,leaving behind mostly elderly people who live alone in empty nests.During the process of conducting a demand questionnaire survey,it was found that the elderly living alone in the community have a relatively serious problem of loneliness.In order to effectively solve the loneliness problem of elderly people living alone in the community,the community actively advocates for healthy and young community empty nest elderly people and elderly people living alone to provide services for key and special empty nest elderly people and elderly people living alone in the community.On the basis of promoting positive interaction between empty nest elderly people and elderly people living alone in the community,the community plays its own advantages and roles,thus forming a harmonious atmosphere of neighborhood mutual assistance.Extensive mutual assistance elderly care services can superficially help the majority of solitary elderly people alleviate their sense of loneliness and meet some spiritual and cultural needs.However,for some special reasons such as physical and mental health,interpersonal relationships,and living environment,more in-depth and targeted work is needed.This is far from enough to meet the needs of these solitary elderly people to alleviate their sense of loneliness.Therefore,this article takes the elderly living alone in Y community of Chongqing city as the research object,and uses social support theory and advantage perspective theory as the theoretical basis for the research.Combined with institutional intervention in the mutual assistance elderly care service project for empty nest elderly,it explores how social work can combine mutual assistance elderly care methods and case work to help the elderly living alone alleviate loneliness.Firstly,this study adopts a combination of structured and unstructured interviews to understand the basic information and relevant problem materials of service recipients;Secondly,using interview and observation methods to establish professional relationships with elderly individuals living alone,while further collecting relevant information on elderly individuals living alone,analyzing existing data to estimate the problems and needs of service recipients,and thus developing a reasonable and feasible case service plan;Finally,summarize and reflect on the issue of loneliness among elderly individuals living alone in urban communities through case studies. |
