Research On The Labor Process Of Network Hosts

Since the first year of live broadcasting broke out in 2016,the online live broadcasting industry has gradually become one of the employment options for the new youth,attracting a large number of young people to flock to the live broadcasting industry.The panic of "entertainment first" also comes,and the State Administration of Radio,Film and Television has also introduced corresponding control measures.In this article,from the perspective of population and labor sociology,by the mixed methods of quantitative and qualitative study,the basic population sociology characteristics of the network anchor group are comprehensively outlined,and the practical and relational characteristics of the network anchor labor process under the platform capital are described in detail,and the ideological generation of the network anchor in the process of production is shown in those actions.The characteristics of network anchors in population sociology can be summarized as follows: 1.Basic information: women are more than men,most of them come from third-and fourth-tier small cities and rural areas,they are highly educated,most of them are unmarried,and they are younger;2.2.The parents are all farmers or migrant workers,and the family conditions are not good;3.The working years are not long,usually about 1-2 years.The live broadcast time is mostly in the evening,lasting 3-6 hours,and the working time is flexible;4.Social relations: Network anchors,platforms,MCNS,tourists,and other anchors form multiple and complex social relations,which is also the continuation of production relations and reproduction mode.5.Welfare benefits.The monthly income of network anchors is mostly about0-10,000 yuan,with large income fluctuations and no corresponding social security measures,such as no labor contract signed.6.From the perspective of health status and socioeconomic status,network anchors suffer more or less physical and mental damage during live broadcasting,and they think their socioeconomic level is in the lower middle class.In terms of their willingness to work,most of the network anchors said they would continue to work in the network broadcast industry.In the labor process,this paper divided the labor process into practice-oriented and relationship-oriented descriptions.In the labor practice-oriented,the work of network broadcast workers is a comprehensive work,which not only needs to pay for physical and mental work,but also needs to pay for emotional and emotional work.The work process of a network anchor includes several parts,such as entry understanding,work preparation,work process and work end,etc.In the implementation of the work process,network anchors are required to build the live broadcast room,prepare live broadcast planning and talent show,among which language interaction is a necessary skill for network anchors.Being able to speak and having high emotional intelligence is a way for network anchors to make profits from live broadcast work.This study focuses on describing the behavior of network anchors in live broadcasting.During a live broadcast,network anchors apply emotional labor,emotional labor and digital labor,which is the perfect integration of emotion and digital,and also the embodiment of online human experience.The second is the relationship in production.The relationship between platform capital and platform capital is the agreement relationship of de-laborization,the relationship between coercion and recognition under the control of algorithm technology,and the relationship between hidden exploitation and exploitation.The relationship with MCN is a mutually beneficial partnership based on the fact that I need you to help me grow and you need me to gain benefits.The relationship with tourists mainly involves the initial establishment and maintenance of social relations,and is a relationship based on emotional connection.The relationship between network anchors and other network anchors is the connection and competition of "playing circles".By analyzing the demographic sociological characteristics and labor process of network anchors,this study found that network anchors would take some actions to safeguard their own interests in the practice of live broadcasting labor under the regulation of platform capital,thus extending the production mode of live broadcasting activities.For example,faced with the mandatory rules of platform capital,network anchors will adjust themselves to make them adapt to and identify with the algorithmic control of the platform and follow the trend.For example,when facing tourists,network anchors will use the combination of emotional labor and emotional labor to safeguard their own interests,and protect and maintain their own "personal setup" to attract more tourists.
