Research On Social Work Assisting Volunteer Capacity Building From The Perspective Of Advantages

The report of the 20th National Congress proposed that socialist volunteer service with Chinese characteristics in the new era should gradually move towards a pattern of participation and sharing by the whole people,and create a social atmosphere in which all strata and groups actively participate in volunteer service.With the introduction of the three-child policy,the number of stay-at-home mothers who choose to leave the workplace to focus on taking care of their families will further increase.This thesis aims to take full-time mother volunteers as an example to study the process of social work intervention in volunteer capacity building,focusing on how to give full play to volunteers’ own advantages,improve volunteer capabilities,and its impact on volunteer capabilities.First,the author analyzes the basic situation and volunteer ability of full-time mother volunteers,analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of full-time mother volunteers from three aspects:cognition,behavior and environment,and finally uses social work professional methods to help use the advantages of full-time mother volunteers to change the disadvantages and improve volunteer ability.This thesis finds that the advantageous perspective has a promoting effect on improving the intrinsic motivation,teamwork ability and professional service ability of full-time mother volunteers,but has a weak effect on the ability of social resource integration.Through the intervention of social workers,the initial full-time mother volunteers used the advantages of cognition and environment to recruit members and help break the ice;Leverage cognitive advantages and increase professional knowledge in the medium term;At the end of the stage,through behavioral changes,promote teamwork and professional development.Effectively solve the problem of insufficient manpower in the community,reduce the burden of grassroots staff,organize and mobilize more volunteer and public welfare forces to participate in grassroots governance,so as to stimulate community vitality,and enable full-time mother volunteers to obtain personal happiness and feel self-worth.However,there are also shortcomings in intervention from the perspective of strengths,which cannot be linked to sufficient social resources,such as the inability to rely on the personal network of full-time mother volunteers to link to professionals to enhance the professional skills of full-time mother volunteers.
