A Level Chemistry,one of the most important subjects in the A Level curriculum,has been widely accepted and implemented in more and more countries around the world.In recent years,more and more cities and schools have offered A Level Chemistry course.In this context,this paper aims to examine the initial practice of A Level Chemistry in China,so as to better promote the in-depth understanding of A Level Chemistry by A Level Chemistry teachers and researchers,and to provide reference and reference for the practice of A Level Chemistry in China and the setting and reform of Chemistry curriculum in China.The whole paper is divided into six chapters.It reviews the development of the A Level curriculum over the past half century through the literature and analyzes the advantages and characteristics of the A Level The second chapter reviews the development of the A Level curriculum over the past half century through the literature,analyzes the advantages and characteristics of the A Level Chemistry curriculum,and the theoretical foundations that support the design,development and evolution of the A Level Chemistry curriculum.And this paper focuses on sorting out and analyzing the relevant studies on A Level chemistry or science curriculum at home and abroad,i.e.,gaining a full understanding of the A Level chemistry curriculum from different aspects,and also laying a good literature research foundation for this study.Also the paper constructs a framework for the analysis of A Level Chemistry curriculum items in four dimensions:curriculum objectives,teachers’ professional development,teaching strategies and methods,and evaluation methods.Through specific case studies,the analysis appreciates the organization of the A Level chemistry curriculum and assessment approaches.I uses survey interviews to conduct field research in several schools in China that offer A Level course,and the implementation of A Level is investigated.The real practice of A Level Chemistry and teachers’ perspectives are analyzed by listening to lessons in class,questionnaires and interviews,and suggestions are made for the successful practice of A Level Chemistry in China.Finally,I summarize the research findings of this dissertation in terms of curriculum objectives,curriculum philosophy and teaching strategies,teachers’ professional development,and evaluation approaches to the characteristics of the A Level Chemistry program.Based on these findings and characteristics,the current situation and main problems of the A Level program in China at this stage of practice are pointed out,and suggestions are made for a more successful practice of the A Level chemistry program in China.At the same time,inspiration is obtained from the A Level Chemistry program,and suggestions are made for the reform and development of the A Level Chemistry program in China.
