Academic Research On Journalism During The Anti-Japanese War

Journalism played an important role in the academic development and practice of the war of resistance against Japan in modern China.As the "Fourth Front",it has a great responsibility in the national liberation movement to save the nation from subjugation and survival.Academia and industry have actively explored more research on purpose to win the war.Wartime journalism was born under this background and interacted with social reality.Sociology of knowledge believes that knowledge should be placed in a specific social structure and historical context to think about its process,and the production and influence of journalism can not be separated from the investigation of social context.Taking the supplement News Front of The Front from 1941 to 1945 as the analysis sample,this paper aims at the cognition and understanding of journalism in the context of the Anti-Japanese War through the path of knowledge sociology,to clarify the development process of wartime journalism and the complex landscape of interaction with Chinese society.It also tries to be consistent with historical facts for drawing a clear picture of academic history.The study found that during the period of the Anti-Japanese War,China’s press circles improved themselves for achieving victory,sorted out the development of the news industry at home and abroad,provided a reference for updating news knowledge;deepened the awareness of the journalistic profession,required the press circles to be vigilant in themselves and marched toward the road of unity and national salvation;advocated the Three People’s Principles,promoted the self-purification of the journalism industry,and sought progress in journalistic ethics;publicized our soldiers’ brave deeds,exposed the facts of Japan’s cruel aggression and aroused the people’s patriotic feelings of eliminating national shame,to mobilize all positive forces to form an anti-Japanese united front;to enrich the meaning of press freedom,rejecting the passive management of the government,participated in the international wave of press freedom;In addition,the union discussed ways to improve news business in order to flexibly adapt the newspaper industry to the wartime environment.In short,News Front is particularly leading and representative in the journalism supplement of the same period.The discussion on journalism academic presents a unique track and gives full play to its function as a knowledge carrier,social power,and historical data sorting.The precious ideals not only meet the needs of wartime journalism,but also promote the unity of the Chinese people against enemies and social change,which can provide embalmed historical heritage for the current news development.
