Abstract/Summary:
Augmented reality technology represents a research hotspot in the field of computer applications,the nature of which is to superimpose virtual information onto the real scene so that the virtual objects and the real scene are integrated to enhance the user’s perception and interaction experience with the real environment.The augmented field of view is the visual space formed by the superposition of virtual information and real scene information in the augmented reality system.Holo Lens,as an optical see-through display integrating spatial positioning and natural interaction technology,represents the most advanced state-of-art augmented reality technology.However,the principle of the light-enhancing display by superimposing light onto the real world makes its display effect very different from that of ordinary displays.As an important visual coding channel,color can help users build depth perception.Based on the existing augmented reality technology,this paper combines theoretical and experimental research with design evidence,comprehensively uses the theory and methods of cognitive psychology and experimental psychology,and combines the depth perception characteristics of humans and the light-enhancing display characteristics of equipment,aiming to obtain the color-sequencing coding methods within the augmented field of view.The research work and innovations carried out in this paper include:(1)Explore the color rendering ability of Holo Lens 2,an optical see-through head-mounted augmented reality display device,by analyzing the color shift and dispersion in the perception-matching experiments to obtain the perceived color shift and highly stable color in the device.(2)Through the experiment of depth perception strategy and comprehensive usage of cluster analysis and qualitative analysis methods,this paper obtains the design strategies for two kinds of people to produce depth perception of color.(3)Obtain the corresponding relationship between the psychological perception quantity and the physical quantity under each design strategy of color depth perception and the minimum perceptible difference value of the perceptible depth difference through psychophysical methods to obtain the color-sequencing depth coding methods based on the depth perception strategy in the augmented field of view.(4)Combine spatial mapping technology and spatial anchoring technology,apply the augmented color depth coding method in this paper to the augmented annotation of Holo Lens,and verify the usability of the augmented color sequencing depth coding method through user assessment.In this paper,theoretical analysis,experimental research,and design practice are closely combined,and the research results can be directly applied to the color-enhanced annotation of augmented reality.The psychophysical experimental method used in this paper can be used as a reference for other coding channel research in augmented reality.
