With the continuous development of modern high-tech,various industries and individuals are having increasingly strong demands for security, confidentiality, and privacy, and the security technology for user identity authentication is particularly important.Existing identity authentication methods are usually based on user information(such as entering passwords and using ID cards)or biometric information authentication(such as fingerprints and facial features). However, these authentication methods are often faced with potential security risks. For example, passwords or ID cards are easily leaked or lost.Biometric features such as fingerprints are essentially static images, which also face the risk of being copied and stolen.Continuous authentication schemes, such as heart rate authentication, require proprietary equipment, resulting in high cost of implementation and great difficulty in authentication, making it uneasy for them to be extended in daily identity authentication applications.Compared with traditional identification methods, radio frequency identification(RFID)has the advantages of simple structure,non-contact automatic and rapid identification and high accuracy, which is a very promising solution in identity authentication. Therefore,in view of the problems in the existing identity authentication schemes, this paper proposes an authentication method that integrates user information and biometric features based on RFID technology. The specific contributions are as follows:(1)This paper proposes an identity authentication method that integrates user information and biometric features. The proposed method forms multiple passive tags into a tag array for the user to input their passwords by touching the surface of the tags. This paper lies in the physical layer information of the tag and the coupling effect between the tags. When the user touches the tags, the signal of the tags will correspondingly change, which is related to the user’s own biological characteristics(such as impedance, etc.),and the signals of other tags will change accordingly.Since different users have different biometric features, the touch from each user will cause a unique signal change on the tags. Therefore, the user’s touch on the tag can not only serve as inputting the passwords, but also integrating his biometric features into the tag signals,so as to realize the combination of user information and biometric features in the process of identity authentication.During the process of user authentication, this paper adopts a two-stage authentication method.First, the password entered by the user is identified, and then the users who use the same password are authenticated and differentiated. The experimental results show that this scheme can effectively identify different users who use the same password,so as to verify the validity of the proposed identity authentication method.(2)This paper refines the biometric information and proposes an authentication method based on the user’s physiological and behavioral characteristics. This paper improves the above identity authentication method, allowing users only need to touch the tag array according to a specified sequence and get free from entering a specific password. In this improved authentication method, the physiological characteristic is represented as the change of the tag signal caused by the impedance when the user touches the tag,and the unique behavior characteristic of each user is represented as the habits of their touching the tags. The system will extract the behavior feature information of different users by collecting the series of time that users touch the tags in advance,so as to combine the physiological feature information and behavior feature information to authenticate the user’s identity. The experimental results show that the proposed authentication scheme that integrates the user’s physiological characteristics and behavioral characteristics can successfully identify different users with high accuracy. This paper uses user information and biometrics for authentication.Using simple passwords or no passwords can effectively prevent user identity theft and achieve better user authentication performance.
