Abstract/Summary:
With the continuous flourishing of media technology,our country has entered the digital age of intelligence,efficiency and convenience.The media is almost everywhere,and as a semi-independent social force,it has dynamically penetrated into the operation of social institutions and cultural spheres.As an important part of human society and culture,food and drink have been influenced by the digital media in their social practices and communication activities.Therefore,this paper takes "mediatization research" as the theoretical background,and explores the relationship between actors and media use and media logic in the digital era from two research paths: "institutional tradition" and "social construction tradition.In this study,we explore the dialectical relationship between media use and media logic in the digital era,point out the changes and reshaping of media technology on Chongqing hotpot practice,and analyze how media logic is involved in social interaction and its construction and social impact.In the digital age,the rapid development of media technology has enriched and renewed the forms and functional extensions of food media practices,which not only reshape food habits and break through the traditional food space,but also dominate the entire food process through media logic.From the media history of Chongqing hot pot,the practice of Chongqing hot pot in the traditional media era is inseparable from the scope of interpersonal communication and mass communication.With the support of digital media technology,the mediated representation of Chongqing hot pot is increasingly prominent,mainly in the five links of consumer selection,ordering,photographing,checking out,and reviewing,and each link is given a new mediated meaning through different media platforms and media practices.The combination of Meituan and location-based media has created a "mobile,interactive and mixed space";"taking pictures before eating" has become people’s electronic diary.Sharing on social platforms such as We Chat,Weibo and Xiaohongshu has made ubiquitous connections the norm;mobile payments such as Alipay and We Chat not only enhance the convenience of payment,but also allow unlimited production and continuation of social relationships.At the same time,the interaction between media logic and political demands,economic development and food culture constitutes an intertwined and complex network of relationships.The government takes the initiative to use emerging media and change its communication posture in order to achieve political demands;economic development and media logic are symbiotic and intertwined,with live streaming and take-out platforms gradually becoming the new consumption field of Chongqing hot pot;food culture and media logic are interlinked,with the dailyization of short videos lowering the threshold of use and spreading food culture.Finally,under the joint action of media technology and media logic,media influence is everywhere.The mediated Chongqing hotpot not only sustains the feelings and relationships between people and society,but also reconstructs the space in food communication,making the physical space,spiritual space and social space overlap and separate when eating hotpot.As a result,physical boundaries are broken,psychic distances are shrunk,and social relationships are reconstructed.
