Preschool left-behind children,as a vulnerable group in the critical period of their growth and development, are more likely to have psychological and behavioral problems and have a negative impact on their future development.Based on the perspective of positive psychology, the level and development of resilience of preschool left-behind children is an important factor and cut-in point to study the healthy development and positive growth of preschool left-behind children. As an important family member of raising preschool left-behind children, grandparenting style is an important influencing factor of their mental resilience. Therefore, this study selected 110 preschool left-behind children from two kindergartens in Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County, where the problem of left-behind children is more prominent, using the questionnaire of《Grandparenting style》and《The children’s Resilience Scale》,and interviewing 15 grandparents and 13 preschool teachers.SPSS26.0 software for data analysis and interviews with the collation and analysis, first explore the preschool left-behind children and 158 left-behind children compared with the level of resilience,at the same time, this paper probes into the characteristics and grandparenting style of the preschool left-behind children, and then probes into the influence of thegrandparenting style on the resilience level of the preschool left-behind children. The research shows that the overall level of the mental resilience of preschool left-behind children is medium and slightly higher, but the overall level of the mental resilience of preschool left-behind children is significantly lower than that of non-left-behind children, but there was a significant age difference.According to the investigation of the present situation and the three dimensions of the grandparents’rearing pattern, the grandparents’rearing pattern is divided into four types:the doting type, the middle type, the severe type and the interfering type There are some significant differences in the aspects of gender and age in the grandparents of the left-behind children. The grandparents under 50 years old are less likely to take the punitive actions of beating and scolding than those over 50 years old.As a whole, there is no significant correlation between the three dimensions of the parental rearing pattern, such as careful rearing, nurturing support and concise rearing, and the resilience of children left behind. There is a significant negative correlation between carefulness and the mental resilience of 5-year-old children left behind by school, and the level of mental resilience of children left behind by school is significantly higher than that of other parenting styles.Based on the results of the study, this paper suggests that the grandparents of the children left behind at school should improve their own way of education, pay attention to and protect the children’s psychological resilience, and that the teachers of the children left behind at school should do a good job in the work of home co-education,at the same time,it is suggested that parents and teachers of pre-school left-behind children should organize a challenging educational activity to expand the social communication environment for young children, encouraging young children with positive language and ways, giving them more space for independent development, and other educational means to promote and protect young children’s mental flexibility;and suggesting that the government and the community, strengthen government co-ordination,and build a social guardianship system, actively propagandize the mental health education of the left-behind children.
