With the increase of the proportion of left-behind children, the research on left-behind children has attracted more and more attention from all walks of life. Most of the early researches on left-behind children were dominated by negative psychology and generally exaggerate the existing problems. With the emergence of positive psychology, the research perspective gradually shifted from the problem perspective to the positive perspective.Psychological resilience is a kind of “ability to rebound” that can be well adapted to negative events such as adversity and trauma by exploring the impact of negative life events such as setbacks and pressure on individuals from the perspective of positive psychology.Applying the theoretical model of psychological elasticity can improve the adaptability of left behind children in the face of external risk factors, and provide a new idea for solving their problems in learning, life and mental health. This paper attempts to study the present situation of psychological resilience of left-behind children in a city of Heilongjiang Province, and puts forward educational strategies.A total of 455 students in grades 7-8 of a junior middle school and grades 4-6 of two primary schools in a city of Heilongjiang Province were randomly selected as effective subjects. The research adopts literature research method, questionnaire survey method and interview method to investigate the psychological resilience of left-behind children in different demographic variables. The results show that: the psychological resilience of left-behind children in this paper is above average in the overall situation; The total score of mental resilience of left-behind children is lower than that of non-left-behind children; The influence of gender on the mental resilience of left-behind children is not obvious; The mental resilience score of left-behind children in grade 4 is higher than grade 5 and grade 6,and grade 7 is the highest;Left-behind children whose fathers go out have the highest score of mental resilience, while their parents go out have the lowest score; The shorter the parents’ time away from home, the higher the frequency of reunion with their parents, the higher the psychological resilience score of left-behind children;Left-behind children who were cared for by their parents scored highest on resilience and those who were cared for by others scored lowest. On the basis of literature review, questionnaire data analysis and interviews with some left-behind children,it is found that left-behind children mainly have problems in learning, personality and interpersonal relationship. Therefore, this paper analyzes the causes of psychological resilience of left behind children from five aspects: their own risk factors, schools and teachers, family upbringing, peers support and social environment. Finally, according to the problems and the causes of the problems, this paper puts forward educational strategies to cultivate the psychological resilience of left-behind children from the perspective of external protective factors and their own subjective initiative, and the mental health care system of left-behind children is built with school education as the leading and diversified cooperation.
