| Caring and being cared are the basic needs of human beings and also a basic moral quality of human beings.Caring is a relational existence, initiative caring and respond to care are the basic conditions for its existence. Therefore,a person’s quality of care includes both the quality of initiative caring and the quality of respond to care.As a kind of moral quality that can promote people’s socialization and all-round development, caring quality is an important aspect of undergraduates’ moral growth,a series of behavioral manifestations produced when the one care and the one cared maintain and develop the care relationship, and a quality in the communication between the one care and the one cared. In reality, undergraduates have a certain caring quality, but in daily study and life, there are still poor moral sensitivity of the one care who are far away from the center of the circle of caring, poor moral sensitivity, weak awareness of self-care,difficult to identify the needs inferred by others, difficult to transform the awareness of care into caring behavior and lack of reflection,It is more urgent and important to cultivate the caring quality of the concerned people for their lack of sensitivity to care from others and society and their lack of ability to respond to care. Therefore, the cultivation of undergraduates’ caring quality is an important and groundbreaking educational work.Centering on the research theme, this paper, combined with the ethics of care, comprehensively expounds the specific connotation and structure of undergraduates’ caring quality, the current situation of undergraduates’ caring quality, and explores the path of undergraduates’ caring quality according to the logical approach of "raising questions-analyzing problems-solving problems".Firstly, combining care ethics and taking "relationship" as the starting point, the basic analytical framework of this study is constructed.Including the definition and structure analysis of the connotation of caring quality, from the perspective of caring ethics, combined with the content of undergraduates’ care, four types of caring relationships are identified: "I-Self","I-You","I-Him" and "I-It",According to the objects of undergraduates’ care, the "I-You" relationship is subdivided into parent-child relationship,teacher-student relationship, and peer relationship, and the caring quality is investigated and analyzed from two dimensions: initiative caring and respond to care.Secondly, using questionnaire and interview methods to collect the current data of undergraduates’ concern quality, according to the basic analysis framework constructed, the collected data are statistically analyzed, showing the current situation of undergraduates’ initiative caring and respond to care.Thirdly, the causes of the problem are analyzed according to the investigation and analysis results. In "I-Self" relationship, undergraduates generally have the problem of "not caring about themselves",while a few undergraduates have the problem of "only caring about themselves".In parent-child relationships, undergraduates face issues of alienation and excessive dependence on their parents. In teacher-student relationship, there is a common problem of weakened thirst for knowledge among undergraduates and the phenomenon of "isolated islands" between teachers and students. In peer relationship, undergraduates generally have "obvious ego centrism tendency",and a small number of undergraduates have the problem of lack of empathy. In "I-Him" relationship, there is a common phenomenon of "solidification of interpersonal communication circles" among undergraduates. Some undergraduates have cognitive biases towards strangers, and the majority of undergraduates experience "social phobia".In "I-It" relationship,a few undergraduates lack public awareness and some undergraduates have a weakened sense of responsibility. Finally, based on the analysis of the results of questionnaires and interviews, undergraduates are encouraged to learn to care about themselves in "I-Self" relationship, about their parents in the parent-child relationship, about their teachers in the teacher-student relationship, about their classmates in the peer relationship, about strangers in "I-Him" relationship, and about nature and society in "I-It" relationship. |
