Research on music education in many countries shows that choral singing is of positive significance to students’ comprehensive development, and good choral education is beneficial to students’ lifelong development.Elementary school choral teaching is open to all students, and most of them have not received professional voice training and music knowledge, and the problems of pitch, rhythm, and multi-part coordination have become obstacles to the promotion and deepening of choral teaching. The development of music education varies from region to region, and the development of choral teaching in the author’s region is still at a relatively backward stage, which inspires the author to think about and explore elementary school choral teaching, hoping to explore some teaching methods that are suitable for the school situation in the region and conducive to elementary school music choral teaching. In the long term teaching practice, the author gradually formed the "two lines through" teaching method to assist elementary school chorus teaching. The "two lines" in the "two lines through" teaching method refers to the two parts of the regular music class, the basic training and the creation of music. The first line refers to basic training, which consists of four main components: pitch training, vocal practice, rhythm training and listening training. The second line refers to creation, which encourages teachers to create polyphonic parts for some of the material to enrich students’ choral learning, and encourages teachers to create polyphonic activities that serve the music classroom. In the "two lines",the main line is the basic training, and the creation serves the basic training and the teaching content. The "through" refers to the fact that the "two lines" are closely linked and continue to be taught throughout the elementary music classroom to develop and enhance students’ music learning abilities. The thesis consists of five parts. The introductory section introduces the main research framework, including the origin of the study, the purpose of the study, and the research method. The first chapter explains the reasons for the formation of the "twolines-through" teaching method, the main contents and the suggestions for implementing the method in the school period.Chapter 2 records the author’s specific practice of the "two-lines-through" teaching method,in which the author conducted teaching practice in individual classes of the first and second periods respectively, and demonstrated the good classroom effects after using the "two-lines-through" teaching method with actual cases. The author has demonstrated the good classroom results after using the "two lines through" teaching method and the rewards after using this teaching method. In the third chapter, the author analyzes the "two lines through" teaching method and actively explores the strategies to optimize this teaching method from both internal and external aspects, which opens up space for the further development of this teaching method. Finally, the thesis concludes.
