HINOC(High performance Network Over Coax)is a technology that solve the last 100m broadband accessing problem by using cable.Two devices,HINOC Bridge(HB)and HINOC Modern(HM),are used to support many multi-media network services,such as VoIP(Voice over Internet Portocol),VoD(Video on Demand)and high speed internet accessing.As a result,HINOC is important to accelerate the process of Triple-Network Convergence and to elimiate the bottleneck of bandwidth about network accessing.This thesis is based on National High Technology Research and Development Program(863 Program)-"Research and Chip Design of a New Generation Broadband Access Technology Over Coax".Firstly,a brief description of the HINOC system and HINOC network protocol is introduced to present the frame and function of HINOC network.Secondly,using Network Analyser capture HINOC network data,and analysis the feature of these data.Finally,according to the feature of HINOC network data,design a new method called A Coarse Granularity Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation method,and this method can alleviate the burden of CPU substantially.And this method also can allocate bandwith for users rapidly,and improve the bandwidth utilization.This method has been showed a good performance by using MATLAB,and can be adopted by HINOC system.
