The development of China’s economy has helped accelerating the development of construction industry and boosted a number of construction companies.As a result,the market competition between industries has become increasingly fierce.To gain a foothold under such a competitive environment,construction companies must improve their profitability on the premise of ensuring construction quality,which requires effective control of the cost of engineering projects.At present,the level of cost control for most construction companies is low,and the traditional cost control methods can no longer meet the needs of today’s market,which requires construction companies to introduce new cost control methods so as to improve their cost control level.The current paper studies cost control,taking the example of Company A Project D.On the basis of reviewing the relevant theories and literature on cost control at home and abroad,combined with the current practice of cost control of the project,it is found that the project D is in the process of cost control.The main problems included the unclear division of cost control responsibilities,the lack of refined cost control,the low level of control over cost components and the imperfect cost assessment mechanism.In order to solve these problems and optimize the cost control method of the project,Company A need to clarify the respective responsibilities,make use of BIM technology to optimize the cost control method of the project from construction preparation stage,construction stage and completion settlement stage,and control labor costs,material costs,machinery costs.The project introduced the earned value method and combined with BIM technology to dynamically monitor the project cost,collected the information of the budget cost for work schedule,the budget cost for work performed and the actual cost for work performed through the BIM model,and analyzed progress deviations,cost deviations,schedule performance indicators and cost performance indicators by calculation.Thus,the project could realize the dynamic control.At the same time,improving the cost assessment mechanism and promoting the project informatization construction will help to improve the cost control level of the project.This paper studies the project cost control of the Company A Project D,which is conducive to improve project cost control,and has certain guidance and significance for the cost control of other similar construction projects.
