With the development of the mobile internet and the popularity of smart terminals,technology and intelligence,everything is connected and gradually become part of people’s daily life,the world has entered the "digital intelligence" era.There are more and more self-help services of various kinds,and the trend is "all services must be self-help".Especially in the post-epidemic period,various public service facilities are expanding the scope of self-service to reduce direct contact with people,and self-service facilities are being updated rapidly.Against this background,libraries of all types in China have been exploring and developing self-help services in the process of seeking specialized services for rapid dissemination of information,accurate disclosure of knowledge,and precise recommendation of documents.The degree of automation and intelligence of operations as well as management is also increasing and is moving toward intelligent services and approaching smart libraries driven by the expansion of intelligent self-help services.The embedding of self-service is an important part of the intelligent library system and a necessary means for university libraries to move towards intelligent services.Studies have shown that self-service of university libraries in China faces many problems such as not easy to be accepted by users,much feedback,and a low utilization rate,so it is especially urgent to carry out library self-service in response to users’ demand will.Research on the needs of university library users and the construction of a systematic self-service model can help provide users with more valuable self-service that better meets their expectations.Adhering to the value concept of "people-oriented",it is of great theoretical and practical significance to promote the transformation of university libraries into a higher stage of self-help services.This study takes demand-driven theory,Kano model theory,integrated technology acceptance and use model theory,and Laswell’s 5W theory as the theoretical basis,integrates the use of literature research,network survey,questionnaire survey,interview,structural equation modeling and other research methods,takes self-service of college library as the research object in the context of digital intelligence era,analyzes the needs of college library users,and based on the research results of the comprehensive analysis constructs the self-service model of college library and proposes the application strategy of the service model.The main contents include:(1)Analysis of the current situation of self-help services in university libraries in the era of digital intelligence.The current situation of self-service in 42 "double first-class" university libraries is investigated by means of online survey and questionnaire,and the self-service items carried out are counted and the problems of self-service in university libraries are summarized.The Kano model was used to analyze the satisfaction of users of self-service items in university libraries,and the items were categorized according to users’ needs,and the self-service items were prioritized according to the satisfaction coefficient.(2)Research on users’ willingness to use self-help services in college libraries in the era of digital intelligence.Taking the willingness to use self-service of college library users as the entry point,based on the reference integrated technology acceptance and use model,we introduce trust theory,perceived risk theory,perceived interaction theory,consumer behavior theory,social cognitive theory and other related variables to build a framework of factors influencing the willingness to use self-service users of college libraries,collect sample data by questionnaire survey,and use structural equation model The path significance and path coefficients of the factors are analyzed to explore the effects of different factors on the willingness of self-service users,so as to facilitate college libraries to grasp the user experience and acceptance behavior of self-service in a targeted manner.(3)Construction of a self-service model of university library in the era of digital intelligence.Using the theoretical research method,the self-help service mode of college library is constructed from five aspects: service subject,service object,service content,service mode and service effect with the help of Laswell’s 5W theory.The service model is drawn by users’ needs,and provides a countermeasure path for college libraries to optimize self-help services and improve service quality.Innovations of this study:(1)Qualitative identification of needs for self-service items in college libraries from the perspective of users’ identity and satisfaction evaluation,and deep excavation of users’ multi-level self-service needs;(2)Exploration of factors influencing users’ willingness to use self-service in college libraries and the relationship between them,construction of a model of influencing factors,and identification of key indicators affecting users’ willingness to use self-service;(3)proposed the self-service model of college library based on Laswell’s5W theory and proposed the application strategy of the service model.
