In more than 20 years of expansion,China’s higher education has completed the transformation from "elite" to "Popularization".The expansion of higher education is conducive to the development of China’s education to a certain extent,but there are also some phenomena,such as the continuous expansion of teaching scale,the decline of enrollment level and teaching quality,the complexity of internal levels,and the unfairness of education."Academic anxiety" is a special phenomenon in this educational and social background,with distinctive Chinese characteristics and characteristics of the times.Their academic anxiety hides social emotions such as fierce social competition,class solidification and slow social mobility.It is not only related to individuals,but also a collective distress at the overall level of society.This paper selects the online community "xiao hong shu" as the research platform,and adopts three research methods: content analysis,in-depth interview and participatory observation.Taking the "people with academic anxiety" in the platform as the research object,this paper analyzes its identity characteristics,educational level,the specific content,overall characteristics and emotional tendency of the published text,and explores the behavioral characteristics and motivation of the "people with academic anxiety" self presentation.The study found that "people with academic anxiety" constantly changed the performance stage and migrated and repeated between social platforms with strong and weak relationships.As a presentation stage,xiaohongshu’s stage device effectively meets the self presentation needs of "people with academic anxiety" in three aspects: content decision-making,information distribution and interface operation.The role play of "academic anxiety" in xiao hong shu is not divorced from the basic social role in daily life,but its role characteristics essentially symbolize a kind of symbolic violence.By analyzing the emotional tendency,symbol selection,technical modification and content characteristics of "people with academic anxiety" in self presentation,it is found that the self presentation of "people with academic anxiety" is a new presentation mode-"failure Exhibition" in front of the background,that is,to alleviate anxiety and obtain some support by displaying their own failure experience.There are four main types of role-playing of "people with academic anxiety" in xiaohongshu community: fact statement type,emotional expression type,publicity and marketing type and weakness seeking type.The four types of roles also correspond to their different presentation purposes,and they also choose different role-playing skills: flattery,competence,intimidation,supplication and example.The study also discusses the internal appeal and external motivation of "people with academic anxiety" self presentation.Based on the research conclusion,this paper reflects on the self presentation behavior and motivation of "people with academic anxiety" from the micro,meso and macro levels,including self presentation subject,self presentation stage and higher education field.
