Time-Triggered Ethernet adds a time-triggered mechanism and a fault-tolerant mechanism as a guarantee on the basis of the high flexibility and low cost of standard Ethernet, and realizes high-precision,high-reliability real-time service transmission. Therefore,it has received extensive attention from domestic and foreign scientific research institutions and colleges and universities.Driven by the dual needs of expansion of existing network capabilities and exploration of future development directions, the iteration speed of new TTE network mechanisms and new ideas is getting faster and faster. As a low-cost and highefficiency test and verification method, software simulation is widely used in network research.Since the development of TTE network technology, researchers need to go deep into the node dimension and simulate the implementation details of each equipment module,so as to evaluate and guide the engineering research of physical systems. The TTE switch node,as the core node that connects each end system and realizes service forwarding processing in the TTE network,is an important object of node internal simulation research. However, most of the existing general-purpose network simulation tools in the industry cannot meet the needs of internal simulation of TTE nodes. From this point of view,it is necessary to develop a dedicated TTE network simulation tool with complete functions and ease of use,and design and implement the switch nodes model in it.The development of the existing TTE network is of great significance. On the basis of in-depth understanding of TTE network and switch principle, combined with discrete event simulation idea,TTE network simulation system and switch node simulation model were designed.Started with the theoretical foundation first, the basic mechanism involved in the TTE network protocol, the working principle of the Ethernet switch and the basic principle of discrete event simulation were introduced.Secondly,an overview of the overall requirements of the TTE network emulation system and switch nodes model is made, and a detailed requirement analysis is carried out from three aspects of function, performance and architecture. Then, based on the requirement analysis, the whole design work is divided into three parts:the simulation platform kernel, the switch node model and the simulation platform interface. The overall design structure is proposed for the three parts,it also analyzed the close functional relationship and the loose structural relationships between the three parts. In the overall design, the core of the simulation platform is based on the existing discrete event simulation platform, and through the encapsulation and inheritance of the simulation middle platform,it is easier to construct the simulation content logic at the TTE protocol level;the switch node model is as close as possible to the physical platform.Functional structure,a TTE switch node composed of external interfaces,CPU and switching module is designed;the simulation platform interface introduces the powerful graphics capabilities of Web technology, integrates graphical operation interfaces and visualization tools, and provides a friendly interactive ability for simulation tools. Then, according to the overall design,it divides the TTE network simulation system and switch node model into more detailed modules, and expounds the properties, methods and functional interfaces of each module in detail. Finally, test cases are designed to test and verify the TTE network simulation system and switch node model. The results show that the TTE network simulation system designed has correct functions and good performance, and has the ability to simulate large-scale complex network scenarios and fault simulation scenarios. At the same time, the TTE switch nodes can support the simulation verification of different mechanisms, which lays a good foundation for the subsequent development of the TTE network simulation system.
