Comparative Analysis Of Library Services In Chinese And Foreign Universities Based On Bibliometric

As far as libraries are concerned,readers are the foundation of their survival and development,and good service is the basis of their establishment.However,in the context of today’s information society,libraries are in such a real crisis that their status is seriously challenged and impacted by the new changing needs of users due to the influence of information technology such as the Internet,social media,and communication devices.In addition,the macro environment in the new era has also put forward new requirements and expectations for the functions and positioning of the university library business.In order to adapt to such changes,libraries can only continue to seek new and changeable developments,and their services have been ushered in a series of major changes.In this context,it is necessary and important to explore the current situation and hotspots of research on university libraries in the field of library service system research,to sort out and compare the research results at home and abroad through the perspective of literature,and to provide valuable thinking for domestic research in this field in theory and practice.Based on the theories and methods of bibliometry,this paper analyzes the CSSCI journal papers on the subject of university library services and the relevant master’s and doctoral dissertations included in CNKI in order to complement each other,so as to scientifically understand and accurately grasp the historical development and reality of this field;in foreign countries,due to the different social environment and the early development of the discipline,the foreign research in this field also has a strong influence on the development of university library services.Therefore,the analysis of WOS core library papers in the field of university library services can help us understand the research situation and characteristics of foreign countries to a certain extent.Finally,the research situation in China and abroad will be summarized and compared respectively,from which the differences and characteristics of Chinese and foreign research in this field will be identified,the shortcomings and problems of current research will be found,and relevant suggestions will be put forward.
