| In 2020,the COVID-19 swept the world like a storm,becoming a major public health emergency with the widest impact and longest duration at home and abroad in recent years.The World Health Organization declared that the event constituted a public health emergency of international concern.As the highest award in the news industry,China News Awards is the optimal selection of all kinds of news works in China every year,representing the highest level of news works in Chinese media and directly reflecting the characteristics of The Times in Chinese society.Therefore,what kind of reporting characteristics and narrative strategies have been presented by the winning works of the China Journalism Awards on COVID-19,which can provide practical guidance and theoretical inspiration for the reporting of such public health emergencies in China in the future.Based on the theory of narrative theory,this paper takes the winning works of the31 st China Journalism Awards on COVID-19 as the research object,and uses literature research method,content analysis method and text analysis method to explore the reporting characteristics of winning works on COVID-19 from the aspects of winning media,expression form and genre,and reporting tendency.Based on Genet’s narrate theory,this paper analyzes and summarizes the narrative strategies of the winning works of the 31 st China News Awards on COVID-19 from the aspects of narrative story and narrative discourse,in order to provide some thinking for the effective narrative of such public health emergencies.The study found that the winning works of the COVID-19 showed positive interaction between the old and new media on the whole,diversified forms and genres,adhered to objective and rational reporting,and actively guided the epidemic prevention.In terms of narrative stories,the COVID-19 winning works present narrative stories through news mode,publicity mode and story mode,focusing on topics related to fighting the epidemic and supplemented by featured topics full of humanistic care.In terms of narrative discourse,which reflects narrative skills and methods,the COVID-19 winning works are mostly narrated from the perspective of inner focus through the mouth of the hidden narrator.Based on the above findings,in the last chapter of this paper,a series of narrative strategy suggestions are put forward for the effective narrative of award-winning works on COVID-19,which not only helps to summarize the narrative experience of award-winning works on COVID-19,but also helps to improve the narrative ability of news media to report on such public health emergencies. |
