A Study On The Deconstruction Of Female Stereotypes By The Image Of Xiaohongshu Female Beauty Blogger

The advent of the age of social media has empowered the power of information transmission from mass media organizations to each individual communicator,providing a window for the public to speak their own words.As a social media platform,Xiao Hongshu has a huge user base,and the beauty section is a hot section of the platform.Therefore,this thesis will take female beauty bloggers on Xiaohongshu platform as an example to conduct an in-depth study on whether this group image can deconstruct part of traditional female stereotypes.In this thesis,126 samples are selected,participatory observation method,in-depth interview method and text analysis method are used as research methods,and the drama theory is used to conduct an in-depth study on the performance process of female makeup bloggers in Xiaohongshu,laying the foundation for subsequent image studies,exploring what kind of images female makeup bloggers present in performance and how they are different from the previous female group images.By expl oring the value meaning of new images,this thesis studies what parts of traditional female stereotypes can be deconstructed and what new female stereotypes can be constructed by female beauty bloggers in Xiaohongshu.First of all,this paper makes a specific analysis of the performance of the image of female beauty bloggers in Xiao Hongshu,analyzing the performance process from four dimensions:performance environment,performance foreground,performance backstage and performance script.On this basis,combined with the interview content,it is explored that they present a bold and free,humorous,confident and independent,rational wisdom,exquisite beauty,open avant-garde and neutral masculine breakthrough image.Then,by comparing these breakthrough images with traditional female images,it is concluded that the Xiaohongshu female beauty blogger has deconstructed some traditional female stereotypes.At the same time,according to the analysis of the interview content,they will also construct new stereotypes of excessive pursuit of delicate appearance,fetishism and irrational consumption,and finally analyze the problems of these new female stereotypes.It can be concluded that among the numerous images of female beauty bloggers in Xiaohongshu,we can see that they represent women in the new era,trying to break the shackling of traditional society and tear off some labels brought by traditional female stereotypes,but at the same time,they will construct new female stereotypes and adhere to a new r ound of stereotype discipline.
