A Study On The Propaganda And Report Of Grain Planting In Shanxi-gansu-Ningxia Border Region From The Perspective Of Yan’an Liberation Daily(1941-1945)

In the Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia Border Region,newspapers carry the function of disseminating ideas and improving the ideological awareness of the masses.The revised Yan’an Liberation Daily not only strengthened the political attributes of the party newspaper,but also increased the reporting and publicity efforts on the actual life and production situation of the people in the border areas.Under the leadership of the border region government and through the joint efforts of the party,government,military,and people,the grain cultivation in the border region has overcome many difficulties and gradually solved the problem of food shortage.From the content and promotional reports published in the Liberation Daily of Yan’an,it can be seen not only that the border area government calls on the masses to cultivate in a timely manner,actively fertilize,and cultivate fine varieties,but also that the border area government actively solves the actual difficulties in the process of grain planting for the masses,paying attention to improving the quality and yield of grain crops.This paper first analyzes in detail the necessity of Jiefang Daily in Yan’an to carry out propaganda and reporting on grain planting in the border area,expounds the ecological environment and crop planting in the border area,and explains the rigid demand for carrying out propaganda and reporting on grain planting.Secondly,it systematically combs the contents of the propaganda report on grain planting by Jiefang Daily in Yan’an from five aspects: advocating intensive cultivation and increasing grain yield,paying attention to seed selection and breeding and promoting fine varieties,encouraging soil improvement and increasing soil fertility,preventing and controlling pests and diseases and reducing grain losses,improving old agricultural tools and promoting new agricultural tools.This article once again discusses the methods of promoting and reporting grain planting in the Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia Border Region from the perspective of the Liberation Daily in Yan’an,mainly including promoting agricultural knowledge and introducing successful experiences,utilizing various artistic forms,and recognizing and rewarding.Finally,it systematically summarizes the historical significance of Yan’an Jiefang Daily’s propaganda and reporting on grain planting in the border area,mainly from the aspects of strengthening the ties between the Party and the masses and increasing the trust of the masses;Break away from the traditional beliefs of the masses in the border areas and establish a scientific planting ideology;Break down feudal superstition and establish the concept of labor glory;Give full play to the leading role of the Party newspaper and mobilize the enthusiasm of the people in the border areas for production and labor.Through a comprehensive and systematic study of the promotion and reporting of grain cultivation in the Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia Border Region from the perspective of the Liberation Daily in Yan’an,it can be seen that the border region government has actively taken action and achieved significant achievements in grain cultivation.On the other hand,it can also be seen that the Liberation Daily plays an important role as the mouthpiece of propaganda and reporting,providing useful reference for the promotion and reporting of grain cultivation in China in the new era.
