Research On Social Cognition Of The Value Of Library As "Place" In Shanghai Public Transportation Guidance System

The explosive progress of information technology has changed human society overnight,and numerous changes have since appeared on the stage of history.As a social system to realize information justice and information security,the social value of library is bound to change with the times.In order to adapt to the information age,the library actively promotes the industry reform and actively explores new development directions.This paper takes the urban public transport guidance system as the entry point,and studies the performance of library as “place” in the system.The purpose is to understand the current social cognition of the value of library as “place”,and to explore the construction of new value of library as “place”.This paper takes Shanghai as the object,expands from two dimensions,studies the performance of library as “place” in the urban public transport guidance system.The first dimension is from the perspective of the third party of the society.From the two aspects of Shanghai traffic stations and guidance signs,the performance of library as“place” is explored and analyzed.The second dimension is the library subject perspective,from the two aspects of library traffic guide and physical place and building,the library’s self-cognition and current achievements are explored.Finally,combined with two dimensions,a comprehensive analysis is carried out.The final conclusion is that although there are some outstanding individuals in Shanghai libraries in the urban public transport guidance system,the overall performance is not good.There are some problems,such as serious polarization,unbalanced development,lack of unified external sign system and insufficient attention from relevant government departments,and there is still a great room for improvement.In view of the existing problems,this study proposes corresponding improvement measures from the following aspects.(1)Optimized guidance of government: The government strengthens guidance from the macro level,including the relevant content of library’s participation in the construction of urban public transport guidance system into the library management regulations that Shanghai is preparing to issue,and promulgates supporting practical policies to guide thoughts and practice from the legal and policy level.(2)Active promotion of library industry: First of all,library industry should improve its own ideological level and attach importance to the development of urban public transport guidance system;Secondly,it is necessary to improve the guiding sign system of the outer space of the library to efficiently communicate the inner and outer space.Finally,it is necessary to construct a unified external logo system,deepen the concept of library system as a "whole" in social cognition,and promote the construction of library brand.(3)Strong feedback of society: improve the social feedback mechanism,combine online and offline,track the implementation of the improvement measures taken by the government and the library,reflect the true opinions of social members,and provide suggestions and references for optimizing development strategies.
