During the epidemic of Newcastle Pneumonia,the short Vlog videos,mainly in the form of UGC,truly narrated the real life conditions and touching stories of ordinary people from all walks of life during the epidemic through a "diary" narrative,creatively recording this major public health event and gaining high recognition from netizens and the community.The vlogs during the epidemic The short vlogs during the epidemic adopt a first-person narrative perspective,use small people as the main characters,use pop-up comments for instant interaction,use plain and simple artistic language and other unique expression strategies to construct an epidemic memory that is very different from the mainstream media’s new crown epidemic narrative in terms of content and form,which is important for promoting social media and mainstream media to jointly construct a collective memory about the epidemic.It is important for social media to work together with mainstream media to construct a collective memory of the epidemic.The paper first provides a general overview of the research background,the current status of research,the research object,the research questions and the research method,and completes the research framework of this paper on this basis.Clarify the research object of this paper-the COVID-19 Vlog works.Combining the interaction and feedback of social media audiences in viewing the videos,we explore the form of Vlogs in constructing the collective memory of the epidemic and the dissemination path and mechanism of its related contents.Again,using collective memory and cultural trauma theories as a guide,this paper analyzes the content of several Vlog videos documenting the epidemic,coding them in terms of participatory constructs and analyzing the narrative,presentation and expression strategies of the content of the works.On the one hand,the social short video Vlogs under the new crown epidemic are analyzed and categorized.Nine representative Vlogs were selected for content analysis and comment text analysis,and comment keywords were extracted to visually analyze the audience’s evaluation and emotional orientation of the video works through data and pictures;on the other hand,a case study analysis was conducted on the basis of content analysis to summarize the characteristics of social short video Vlogs in terms of narrative form,presentation,and audiovisual symbols,and then based on cultural On the other hand,based on the content analysis,we conduct a case study analysis,outline the characteristics of social short video vlogs in terms of narrative form,presentation,and audiovisual symbols,and then explore the feasibility of constructing collective memory based on the theory of trauma,and summarize the findings.Finally,the paper clearly points out the feasibility of the co-integration of social media and mainstream media in constructing collective memory.It also points out the significance and shortcomings of social media in constructing collective memory.At the same time,it puts forward its own suggestions on how social media can participate in constructing similar traumatic collective memory in the future.
