In recent years,the development mode and expression form of media has gone through three stages of "text-graphic-video",traditional media began to use short video platform as a carrier to present a new type of video news products for the audience.From a simple user sharing platform to a game of multiple forces,a narrative logic different from that of the thesis media is gradually formed in the short video platform.The influence of short video news has also penetrated into all aspects of production life.At the same time,our society continues to set off a wave of hero culture research,and use the media as a means and platform to spread hero culture.In the past,the hero narrative relied more on traditional media,and heroic discourse was once absent in new media,especially social media.With the rise of short videos,however,audiences call for hero culture and put forward higher demands on hero narratives and their video expressions,and the media themselves have become quite self-conscious about the shaping of heroic characters,the discovery of heroic deeds,and the dissemination of hero culture.Based on the combination of these two aspects,this thesis takes "CCTV News" Shake Yin short video reports on heroes as the main research object from the perspectives of news narrative and visual rhetoric,and takes the hero reports released from January 2019 to December 2022 as the sample research.The research methods of text analysis,questionnaire and in-depth interview were used to collate and analyse the content generation and visual expression of the short-video hero reports,summarise the basic narrative mode of CCTV News’ short-video hero reports,construct heroic emotion from the cognition of narrative symbols,strengthen heroic spirit from the choice of narrative tone,manipulate the narrative chain from the dissemination of narrative subjects,and so on.The basic features of the narrative of short video hero stories are summarised in terms of the perception of narrative symbols to construct heroic emotions,the choice of narrative discourse to strengthen heroic spirit,and the manipulation of the narrative chain by narrative subjects.Starting from specific examples,we reason about the hero characteristics in Jitterbug short-video hero reports,and at the same time cite the mainstream media communication effect evaluation system in the era of full media to analyze the communication effect of mainstream media short-video hero report narratives and summarize the existing problems such as patterned narratives,insufficient visual aesthetics,and pan-entertainment expressions.Taking the above research results as a premise,this thesis also aims to provide valuable references and suggestions for the narrative innovation of short-form video hero reports in mainstream media.
