In recent years,with the continuous in-depth research in the field of autonomous driving and intelligent transportation,millimeter wave technology continues to mature and be widely used.Millimeter wave radar is widely used in automotive,transportation,security and other fields due to its strong anti-interference capability,wide dynamic range,high robustness,and can work around the clock.Among them,77 GHz band has gradually become the mainstream band of millimeter wave radar with wider bandwidth and higher transmitting power.The fast scanning response of phased-array radar makes the refresh rate of millimeter-wave radar further improved.In this thesis,we study and propose a solution for 77 GHz millimeter-wave phased-array radar,and successfully implement the beam control and target detection of single-chip millimeter-wave phased-array radar,and give a reference design for multi-chip cascade scheme.The research content and main work of this thesis include the following aspects.First,literature research work is conducted for the research background and development status of millimeter wave radar,and the superiority of 77 GHz band is clarified,and phased array radar is taken as the main research direction,and the relevant theories of millimeter wave phased array radar,including frequency modulated continuous wave radar theory,phased array radar principle and phased array calibration technology,are elaborated.Second,the hardware circuit design of the overall radar is completed.After the single board architecture design,the corresponding power consumption analysis,power supply design and other preliminary work are completed,multiple interfaces are designed for data interaction,the schematic design of the baseband control circuit and RF front-end circuit is completed,and the layout drawing,board making,soldering and debugging are carried out.Thirdly,the software program development is carried out.The baseband single board completes the configuration of the RF front-end chip,the processing of the baseband signal and the Ethernet data transmission communication,and the RF single board completes the transmission and reception of the RF signal,and writes the corresponding upper computer to realize the overall system interfacing.Finally,the corresponding experimental environment is built to test the module function and performance of the designed 77 GHz millimeter wave phased array radar,the channel test of the RF front-end and the overall performance test of the radar.The test results meet the preliminary design objectives,validate the unit-level millimeter wave phased array radar scheme,and provide a reference for the subsequent research on the large-scale cascaded array of 77 GHz millimeter wave phased array radar.
