| Driven by technologies such as big data,artificial intelligence,and algorithmic recommendations,the mode of information dissemination is undergoing a transformation,the traditional media industry is also accelerating its renewal and iteration.:the production and dissemination of news,business models,organizational structures,and other aspects are all facing significant challenges and opportunities.In this process,the gatekeeper role in traditional media news apps has also undergone a significant transformation.Gatekeepers are the core players in the news production process.They are responsible for deciding which news is worth publishing,while also considering the public impact and social responsibility of the news.However,with the digitization and personalization of news,the role of gatekeepers has been redefined.Gatekeepers not only need to ensure the accuracy and credibility of news content but also require multidimensional skills,including data analysis,social media management,identification of false information,innovative practices,and user experience,to cope with the challenges and opportunities in the digital media environment.From the perspective of management studies,this role transformation can be seen as an internal behavioral and strategic change within organizations.In this context,based on organizational behavior and relevant theories of gatekeepers,this paper selects a representative traditional media news app as the research subject.Through in-depth interviews with professionals in the industry,the paper summarizes the dilemmas faced by gatekeepers in the traditional media news app industry,such as role conflicts and insufficient skills.It then outlines the initial behaviors of gatekeepers and suggests directions for reshaping their role behavior in traditional media.Finally,this paper contextualizes the crucial role of gatekeepers in the digital era and proposes recommendations for the role behavior transformation and strategic adjustments of gatekeepers in traditional media news apps,including restructuring organizational structures,repositioning roles,and establishing new evaluation and incentive mechanisms.In the environment where new media and traditional media intertwine and compete with each other,repositioning and future development of gatekeeper role behavior is an important strategic choice for gatekeepers to face opportunities and challenges.This article primarily analyzes the transformation of role behavior of traditional media gatekeepers in the digital age from a qualitative perspective,with limited quantitative analysis.Future research could attempt to construct a cognitive model of role behavior for gatekeepers in traditional media news,conduct empirical analysis based on a large sample size,and further enhance the generalizability of research conclusions. |
