| In the context of Media society,the iteration of media technology has changed individuals’ presentation on the media,who evolve into a state of subjectivity enhancing and self-expression gradually integrating.Generation Z,who grew up under the rapid development of Internet information technology,their daily lives are almost inseparable from the media,numerous social media and video sites has become the main stage for the Generation Z’s self-presentation.Among all media,bilibili is the most representative and influential stage.Therefore,why and how do the Generation Z present their daily lives on bilibili,and what are the implications of this media presentation behavior?This study describes and analyzes the behavior of the Generation Z group in presenting their daily lives on bilibili with the help of mimesis theory and mediated social theory.The research uses the knowledge,fashion,life and technology region of bilibili as the online field,and conducts participatory observation and in-depth interviews with Generation Z.It is found that the media presentation behaviors of the Generation Z in their daily lives include self-expression,identity,and spiritual entertainment needs from the psychological factor level,while from the social factor level,video has become the main presentation method,advertising promotes original quality content,and the platform supports the continuous output of creators.The knowledge,fashion,life and technology region serve as the performance stage of the Generation Z.The public presentation and idealized performance of learning live in the knowledge region,the interesting group of accompanying and bonding in the presence;the dynamic presentation and impression management in the fashion region;the backstage forward and personalized conformity to shape the image in the life region;the vicarious satisfaction and humanistic care in the technology region are the performance behaviors they present in the foreground.However,unlike the traditional theatrical stage,the presentation area of the Generation Z’s daily lives has been transformed from a fixed stage to a mobile stage,showing a tendency that the backstage area is continuously squeezed by the frontage area,thus causing identity dilemma and privacy leakage.Finally,the media presentation behavior of the Generation Z’s daily lives,on the one hand,provides them with a channel to improve their self-education and promote their group identity and social development of the individual.On the other hand,this behavior causes the body to become a symbol of carnival,individuals to be a digital landscape,and the Internet is a space of escape.Meanwhile,it also makes the audience lost in the “authenticity” of the presentation.s... |
