In the process of achieving the goal of "carbon peak,carbon neutrality" and building new power system,the power system urgently needs to improve the degree of system intelligence and digitalization,and the power software industry has ushered in a good development opportunity.But influenced by COVID-19 epidemic,all professions and trades are facing unprecedented challenges.Small and medium sized software companies are beset of difficulties,company strategies become extremely important.Under a macro environment full of uncertainties,how to find a correct path to develop,how to enhance corporate core abilities,and how to win competition,are the critical factors for software companies to survive and develop.This article takes B company and its cost software business as research object.B company is a software company that serves the power industry.Its cost software business covers a wide range of customers,has a good market reputation,and has a far leading market share.It is an important source of income and profit for B company.However,with the continuous changes in the external environment,B company’s cost software business has also encountered development bottlenecks such as reaching market capacity,deteriorating competitive environment,and insufficient technological innovation.The study based on strategy management theories.First it applied strategic analysis models such as PEST analysis,Porter 5 Forces,EFE and IFE matrix to analyze the external and internal environment of B company,from its strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats,it sorted out 18 factors that would affect B company’s cost software business.Secondly,it applied SWOT analysis,QSPM to analyze optional growth strategies of B company,to clarify the appropriate market position and suitable growth strategy.Then,the article point out a 2-phased 5 year strategic scheme for B company,including goals and measurements.Last but not least,functional safeguard measures on organizational,human resources,technology,marketing and finance are raised to implement the strategy.
