Hongyan spirit is cultivated by the Communist Party of China(CPC)in the revolutionary era, which is of great significance. In September 2021,Hongyan spirit was established by the CPC Central Committee as the great spirit of the CPCs spiritual pedigree.Since July 1,2022,the "Chongqing Red Resources Protection and Inheritance Regulations" has been implemented, and Hongyan spirit has been written into local laws and regulations for the first time, providing relevant legal basis for the protection and inheritance of Hongyan culture.Hongyan spirit is the most valuable spiritual wealth of our party and nation, and is also an important part of the excellent traditional culture of our Chinese nation. At present, the Hongyan culture dissemination with the Hongyan spirit as the core is in full swing in all parts of China, which not only meets the needs of the people for high-quality spiritual culture, but also strengthens the cultural confidence and improves the national cultural soft power. For the purpose of spreading Hongyan culture, the Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum, which has historical and cultural value and patriotic education significance, has become an important place for building revolutionary historical memory and inheriting Hongyan culture. In the context of modernization, museums have transformed from "cabinet of curiosities" for the exclusive enjoyment of social elites to public places that undertake social education and service functions. As a cultural public place with cultural relics exhibition and visual experience as its main content, the Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum is the epitome of the history of the CPC during the War of Resistance against Japan and the War of Liberation. In essence,it is a cultural complex covering multiple media spaces.A large number of physical exhibits in the museum are memory fragments of revolutionary history. Its architectural appearance, internal display, voice interpretation and other forms also contain profound cultural connotation,Through diverse narrative methods,it has become an important window for spreading revolutionary history, strengthening cultural identity, and even shaping the image of cities and countries.Based on the cross media narrative theory, this article comprehensively uses participatory observation and interview methods to discuss the media attributes of the Chongqing Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum. This article regards the Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum as a kind of spatial medium, and believes that its cross media narrative mainly manifests in two aspects: the cross media narrative within the museum and the cross media narrative between the inside and outside of the museum. On the one hand, the architectural space, exhibition space, and interactive space within the museum are all media oriented spaces. They take real historical facts as the theme, share the story world of Hongyan, and jointly complete the narration of the revolutionary history of Hongyan through various narrative forms such as text, video, and the Internet; On the other hand, museum media space has begun to expand into daily living space, carrying out the pan-media dissemination of Hongyan culture, effectively expanding the scope of dissemination of Hongyan culture.By analyzing the cross media narrative characteristics of the Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum, this article explores how the Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum constructs the revolutionary historical memory of the people about Hongyan and realizes the cultural identity of Hongyan. The introduction systematically introduces the research background of this article, reviews and sorts out the literature on the two topics of "space and media" and "museum cross media narration" around the research topic, and expounds the research methods, research significance, and innovation points of the paper. The first chapter reviews the entire development process of Hongyan culture and analyzes the narrative theory of the Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum. The focus is on the analysis of the historical background, development process, spiritual and cultural connotations of Hongyan culture, aiming to systematically sort History Museum as a spatial medium. The second chapter conducts a media narrative analysis of the media space of the Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum, examining three aspects of the museum’s architectural space narrative, exhibition space narrative, and interactive space narrative.Through a detailed analysis of the geographical location and external visual presentation of the Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum, the internal display arrangement,as well as the interactive behavior and emotional experience of visitors, this article explores how the Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum completes the narration of the historical story of the Hongyan Revolution and the transmission of social and cultural significance. The third chapter explores the interaction process between the Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum and other media(including material and non-material)from the perspective of cross media narrative theory.Explore how museums can extend and expand the historical story of the Hongyan Revolution through theater interpretation, cultural and creative products, and analyze the cross media narrative practice of the Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum and its role in achieving Hongyan cultural identity. The fourth chapter summarizes the current cross media narrative characteristics of the Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum, analyzes its narrative problems, and attempts to provide feasible countermeasures. The focus is on analyzing the problems encountered in the narrative origin, narrative core, and narrative chain during the dissemination of Hongyan culture in the current era of media integration, and proposing practical suggestions and countermeasures for the problems, with a view to helping the dissemination of Hongyan culture.
