| Based on field theory,this paper attempts to analyze the factors influencing the topic selection process of news production on the Yangtze River Cloud Platform and whether certain news production habits have been formed.The author participated in the news production of the Yangtze River Cloud Platform as an intern,and after four months of participatory observation,conducted in-depth interviews with 25 journalists in Hubei Radio and Television.The study found that the Changjiang Cloud Platform is constrained by various forces inside and outside the organization in the process of determining news topics.First of all,in the distribution of news topic selection power,will be influenced by senior leaders and editorial department directors,under the guidance of the two parties,grassroots journalists are responsible for the implementation of topic selection,so as to achieve the centralization and decentralization of topic selection power,which also shows that under the management of the existing editorial department,news practitioners still follow certain news habits,top-down news power still restricts news producers’ determination of topics,and the concentration of topic selection power may inhibit the enthusiasm and creativity of journalists.Secondly,in terms of the focus of topic selection,the editorial department determines the topic selection in accordance with certain procedures and specifications,and is influenced by the agenda setting from the authoritative website and the topic selection task of the propaganda department,which ensures the correctness and accuracy of the topic selection in political tendencies on the one hand,and is conducive to giving play to the public opinion guidance role of Changjiangyun as a provincial official media,but on the other hand,it also means that the editor still lacks a certain degree of autonomy in determining the topic selection stage;Although it pays attention to the needs of the audience to a certain extent,highlights the hot spots of people’s livelihood,and chases traffic,it pays more attention to the seriousness and political nature of news topics.Third,the personal tendency of journalists to select news topics is a typical habit,and journalists follow their own value judgments to construct news narratives and reality,but in the end,they will determine topics under the guidance of leaders.Finally,by checking the post-production and broadcast effects of topic selection,so as to ensure the completion of news practice,and data analysis is carried out on the market feedback obtained from topic selection,news producers are incentivized to create more influential works through the reward mechanism,which reflects the new habits that are forming in the newsroom in the era of media integration and data.The introduction part discusses the background of building the Yangtze river cloud platform,clarifies the theoretical and practical significance of the research,and summarizes the field theory and the related theories of news production,finally carding out the research methods and ideas of this paper.The first chapter,“The organization structure of the Yangtze Cloud platform-centralization and decentralization of the right to select topics”,mainly discusses the centralization and decentralization of the right to select topics in the news production process of the Yangtze Cloud Platform,explore the organizational structure of the different levels of journalists have how much power to choose topics.The second chapter,"The focus of news topic selection on the Yangtze River Cloud Platform",mainly discusses the general process of news topic selection by journalists in the newsroom,and how to grasp the focus of news topic selection,thus explore the journalists in the determination of news topics in the practice of news by which the main aspects of the impact and constraints.The third chapter,"The news practitioner's personal tendency of topic selection",mainly discusses the news practitioner's personal tendency of topic selection in Yangtse River Cloud Editorial Department,and to what extent do individuals tend to follow the orders of their superiors.Chapter four,“News topic selection feedback of Changjiang Cloud Platform”,mainly discusses how to reflect and analyze news topic selection of Changjiang Cloud Platform after news products broadcast,so as to provide reference and feedback for the next stage of news topic selection. |
