| Along with the continuous urban construction,the problem of road traffic congestion has become more and more prominent.Therefore,building subways in cities has become an effective solution,and a wave of subway construction has emerged across the country.In cities,subway stations,together with streets,parks,squares and train stations,form the five main functional units of the city.It is both a node of urban rail transportation and an important transition space in the city.So what exactly is the role played by the subway station space in the dissemination system of urban culture?This research is centered on Nanjing metro stations,taking into account the remarkable achievements of Nanjing metro development and construction in recent years.The research mainly used participant observation,questionnaires and semi-openended interviews,and took 10 Nanjing metro lines with a total of 159 stations as the research objects,and conducted on-site investigations on their various facilities and decoration,focusing on the design of station art walls and thematic stations.At the same time,several stations with high passenger flow were randomly selected for interviews with reference to the pre-drafted plan and the actual situation.The data obtained from the questionnaire survey were also used to grasp the situation of Nanjing metro stations in terms of information dissemination,public interaction and the construction of“communicable city”.Accordingly,we concluded that Nanjing metro has four problems in terms of communicability and cultural communication: insufficient humanistic care in public infrastructure,insufficient “publicness” in public art and culture,conflict between commerciality and culture in metro space,and people’s lack of deep knowledge of traditional culture.The paper also proposes recommendations.The text consists of five chapters.The first part is the introduction,which introduces the background and significance of the selected topic,the current situation of domestic and international research,and the research method of this paper.The fourth part describes the specific performance of Nanjing metro in spreading urban culture and measures the related communicability indexes;the fifth part,on the basis of the above study,adds the measurement of the communicability of Nanjing metro and takes a problem-oriented approach to promote the construction of Nanjing as a“communicable city”.In the fifth part,based on the above study,we will add the measurement of the communicability of Nanjing metro,and make the following suggestions to Nanjing metro from the perspective of promoting the construction of“communicable city”: 1.improve the infrastructure construction and make up for the shortcomings of services;2.integrate media resources and realize the aggregation of information resources in universities;3.enrich the behavior of interaction activities and break through the boundaries of heterogeneous people;4.make efforts to create personalized cultural symbols and enhance the image recognition;5.Clarify the message and meaning of transmission to reduce misinterpretation and falsification. |
