| Nowadays, environmental pollution and resource scarcity are important problems that need to be solved.Countries all over the world are actively seeking ways to achieve global sustainable development by coordinating the relationship between people, environment and resources. As an important part of circular economy, remanufacturing brings huge economic, environmental and social benefits to enterprises, which could effectively alleviate this problem.Remanufacturing is conducive to structure a resource-saving and environment-friendly society. The support of national policies and good economic benefits have attracted more and more original equipment manufacturers and third-party remanufacturers to enter remanufacturing industry.Although relevant regulations require remanufactured products to be of the same or even higher quality than new products, consumers are less willing to pay and accept remanufactured products. The development of the remanufacturing industry is hindered. Therefore, how to improve the willingness to pay of remanufactured products is an issue that enterprises have to consider.Blockchain technology can provide effective solutions to the above problems. As a promising technology with decentralization, openness and transparency,anti-tampering,anti-forgery and traceability, blockchain technology can be used to disclose more product information to consumers and increase their willingness to purchase. This paper applies Stackelberg game theory and introduces blockchain technology into remanufacturing supply chain, and considers factors such as adoption cost, privacy concern and online additional cost.We clarify the impact mechanism of blockchain technology on remanufacturing supply chain.Under a competitive environment,we study the pricing decision and channel selection of single-channel remanufacturing supply chain based on blockchain technology. In addition,we also study the pricing decision and channel selection in dual-channel remanufacturing supply chain under blockchain technology.Specifically, the main research of this paper includes:First,we explore the impact of blockchain technology on the remanufacturing supply chain. We introduce the concept and characteristics of remanufacturing supply chain and blockchain technology. From different perspectives,we elaborate the impact of blockchain technology on pricing decision and channel selection of remanufacturing supply chain.Furthermore,we also analyze the application of blockchain technology in remanufacturing supply chain, and lay the foundation for focusing on the impact of blockchain technology on pricing decision and channel selection of single channel and dual channel remanufacturing supply chain.Second,we consider the pricing decision and channel selection strategies of single-channel remanufacturing supply chain on the basis of blockchain technology under a competitive environment.Four remanufacturing supply chain decision models are constructed based on whether an OEM adopt blockchain technology and different distribution channels in a competitive environment. We study the impact of blockchain technology on pricing decisions, profits and environmental benefits, and provide the OEM with the optimal blockchain technology and channel selection strategies. We find that the OEM should adopt blockchain technology under direct or retail channels only when the consumers discount value of remanufactured products produced by the OEM at a high level and the unit cost of adopting blockchain technology is not high.In specific cases, the direct channel is always beneficial to the OEM,regardless of whether blockchain technology is adopted. Finally,we investigate the impact of blockchain technology on pricing decision and channel selection strategies for dual-channel remanufacturing supply chains.By introducing an online platform in a blockchain technology environment,we construct dual-channel remanufacturing supply chain models. In addition,we explore the effects of blockchain technology and online additional costs on pricing decisions, profits, environmental benefits, and social welfare. The results show that the OEM prefers the agency model, while the retailer prefers the traditional retail model for higher profits. From an environmental perspective, the government prefers the traditional retail model, while would prefer the agency model considering social welfare. |
