Investigation And Research On The Memorial Facilities For Revolutionary Martyrs In Gansu Province

Gansu province,located in the northwest of China,was a key transportation route between China and the Soviet Union during the War of resistance against Japan.It was responsible for transporting materials for the front line of the war,and its strategic position could not be ignored.Since the War of resistance against Japan broke out in1931 and the liberation of Gansu Province in 1949,the army and people in Gansu did not give up after the war and joined the army in great numbers with many victims,making indelible contributions to the victory of the War of resistance against Japan and the establishment of the People’s Republic of China.Since 1931,a total of 73 memorial facilities for revolutionary martyrs have been built in Gansu province in order to pay tribute to the soldiers who gave their lives valiantly:During the War of resistance against Japan,the national government ordered that Martyrs’ Shrines should be set up everywhere to commemorate those who died in the War of resistance against Japan;After the founding ceremony of the People’s Republic of China,the state paid more attention to the praise of revolutionary martyrs.In response to the central government’s call,Gansu province built 61 memorial facilities for revolutionary martyrs in various parts of the province.There are memorial facilities for the martyrs who died in the victory of the War of resistance against Japan,for the martyrs who died in the liberation of the country,and for the foreign martyrs who died helping the Chinese army and people resist aggression.These memorial facilities bear witness to the history of Gansu Army and people resisting aggression,safeguarding national sovereignty and pursuing People’s liberation.They are the material carrier of patriotic education in Gansu province and have important social functions and historical values.Relying on the resources of memorial facilities for revolutionary martyrs,the Gansu provincial government has carried out a series of activities,including commemorating revolutionary martyrs,understanding heroic deeds,and understanding the spirit of the martyrs,in all parts of the province in order to promote the heroic,heroic study set up a good fashion.Upholding the spirit of heroism is a key component of achieving Chinese Dream.Therefore,the investigation and study of the memorial facilities for the revolutionary martyrs in Gansu province and the promotion of the protection and utilization of the resources of the memorial facilities are conducive to the inheritance and development of the spirit of the martyrs and are of great significance to the Chinese Dream.
