| The shaping of public identity has long been a concern of traditional television media, and is ultimately related to the maintenance of social order. The television media in the digital media era still attaches great importance to it,but it has become more complicated due to the extensive participation of the public. This paper adopts an empirical study, focusing on a real-life case with Chinese characteristics,to examine and explore the identity construction of television media and the public in the digital media era and its logical game,so as to reveal the richness of media rituals and the complexity of public identity construction in the digital era.On the one hand, this paper analyzes how the mainstream media communicate the rituals and shape the public’s identity in the live broadcast of digital family recognition by means of programming, scene construction, and narrative discourse from the perspective of media organizations, and on the other hand,it examines the content and interaction of the public in the live broadcast of digital family recognition and analyzes how they shape their own identity in the ritual interaction. On the other hand,we examine the content of expression and interaction of the public in the digital family recognition live broadcast, and analyze how they shape their own identity as "citizens" in the ritual interaction. Finally, the logic of identity construction of digital media rituals is fundamentally revealed from two dimensions: ritual communication and ritual interaction. This paper argues that for mainstream TV media, the development of digital media technology has provided a new communication platform for them to consolidate and maintain their own discourse and central position since the era of mass communication through ritual communication. The television media fundamentally portrays the viewers watching the live broadcast of family recognition as "fans" of public figures,"people" who are powerless to find their relatives and "masses" who are building dreams and reunions, ultimately pointing to The ultimate point is the maintenance of social order. However, the public in the digital era is awakening to self-awareness and increasing subjectivity under the empowerment of technology. They no longer passively receive the identity image given by the media in the ritual communication, but actively shape their own identity through ritualized interaction, and constantly compete with the mainstream media for the logic of identity construction,so as to seek a larger discourse space.Whether as "defenders" of the rights of others,"claimants" of legal fairness or "defenders" of moral justice, the public proactively shaped themselves as There is a large gap between the expectations of the media and the mainstream discourse, and the strong demand for justice as a "citizen" subject. And it is precisely because of the different interests and demands of the public that the TV media is divided, and the attempt to achieve social integration through digital media ritual communication will eventually be an imaginary picture to a large extent. |
