| In recent years,domestic violence has increasingly become a serious social problem.Although the legalization process of anti-domestic violence is constantly advancing,the death cases caused by domestic violence in the context of the development of social media always attract strong attention,bringing a sense of unease to various groups in the society.How does the mainstream media,which builds external cognition for the public and we media,report the news of fatal domestic violence? What kind of news framework are these reports based on? How should the mainstream media grasp the reporting scale,correctly report family crimes and female crimes,exert the positive guiding role of media reports,and make extreme domestic violence reports with warning and educational significance? All these require timely answers.Therefore,under the guidance of the news framework theory proposed by Zang Guoren and with reference to the three-level news framework construction method proposed by Zang Guoren,this study selects three mainstream media as research samples,namely People’s Daily,China Women’s News and Legal Daily,and carries out text analysis on the news report samples of domestic violence death in these mainstream media.It shows how these mainstream media constructed the news framework of fatal domestic violence incidents from the beginning of 2008 to the end of 2022,and obtains the differentiated framework characteristics of these media’s news reports of fatal domestic violence: the outcome framework of People’s Daily’s policy governance;China Women’s News’ multiple framework for safeguarding women’s rights and interests;Legal Daily has a comprehensive and rich rule of law framework,and summarizes the media images of men and women in these mainstream media reports on extreme domestic violence.The male media images include: helpless image because of love crime,the image of the vicious gangster and the image of the fault of breaking the law in advance.The media images of women include: the mother image full of maternal love,the tragic image of endurance and cowardice,the helpless image of no help and the image of resistance with violence.Then,the series of reports on the case of "Zhu Xiaodong kill wife" in the freezer was selected as a typical case to explore how the mainstream media completed the news production through the reporting framework.At the same time,the similarities and differences between the mainstream media and the urban newspaper The Beijing News in the reporting framework of this case were compared,and the media images of men and women constructed by the urban newspaper in such cases were obtained,and the problems existed in The Beijing News were pointed out.After summarizing the characteristics of the news report framework,in order to give full play to the role of mainstream media in shaping the public idea and guiding the public opinion,the paper further analyzes the problems existing in the news framework and puts forward the optimization path.The study found that the mainstream media has the stereotyped image of male and female media,the imbalance of reporting genres and the lack of constructive news,the lack of public opinion supervision,and the excessive demand on the publicity of anti-domestic violence and other problems.To solve these problems,we should enhance gender awareness and eliminate stereotype.Dig the depth of the report,strengthen the news comment;Recommendations to monitor policy implementation by focusing on society as a whole. |
